IIntroductionDear Customer,You have just taken possession of your new CAMPERWe thank you for your order and congratulate you on your choice.We suggest that you get to know your new camping car by reading this manual, and hope that you are fully satisfied with it.This user’s manual gives you all the information you need about the equipment in the living compartment and precautions tobe taken and instructions to be followed in using it. For information about the basic chassis, please refer to the instructions andrecommendations given by the manufacturer.Follow our advice and leave without any worries.In addition, the dealer who sold you the vehicle will be happy to give you advice based on thorough experience, in particularas concerns safety equipment or required equipment in your country and/or in the countries you want to visit (safety vests,triangle(s), etc).Do not hesitate to call him for any reason.N.B.: Be sure to keep a copy of the approval documents and all the invoices related to your camper (sales invoice, maintenanceinvoices, etc.). IIPreparation before leavingA camping car has two separate parts ; firstly the basic vehicleor carrier that provides the transport, and secondly the livingcompartment in which you will spend your holidays.You should make a few standard verifications on both of thesecomponents before leaving.n PREPARING THE LIVING COMPARTMENT (outside)n CArrIEr PrEPArAtIonThe battery is located in a specific compartment.You should make the same verifications on the carrier beforeyou leave as you would normally do for your car. This includesroutine verifications, namely checks on the levels of yourengine oil, cooling circuit water, windscreen washer fluid,and that all parking lights and indicators are working, withoutforgetting to adjust the two outside rear view mirrors that arevery useful considering the width of the vehicle.It is very important to check the level of the electrolyte inbatteries that contain electrolyte.The first thing to do before you leave is to switch on theelectricity power supply to the living compartment. A motorhome has two batteries, one supplying the carrier (engine)and a second supplying the electrics in the living compartment.The motorhome is further prepared for use by positioning thegas bottles (PROPANE only) in an externally-accessed watertightlocker. Gas bottles must be turned off when vehicle is in motion.When driving, gas cylinders must be closed.Pictograms are placed in the appropriate location toremind you of this.Obviously, the tire pressure should be checked.3

IIPreparation before leavingn PREPARING THE LIVING COMPARTMENT (outside) (continued)The clean water tank is filled through an external orificemarked by a specially identifiable pictogram to distinguish itfrom the fuel tank on your basic vehicle.Any covers or plugs on air intakes or orifices on all householdappliances should be removed.Blanking pieces for the refrigerator grills are supplied as anoption by your sales outlet.The WC cassette also needs to be put into service by addinga dose of the appropriate chemical without forgetting to addlittle water.This operation is done through the outside door (accessflap), but can also be done very easily from inside the livingcompartment.n PREPARING THE LIVING COMPARTMENT (INsIdE)The first thing to do is to switch on the electrical circuit on thecontrol panel.Check that the water pump is working and purge any air in thecircuit, for example by carefully opening the kitchen taps. Allair is purged when water starts flowing. Do the same thing forthe cold water and hot water circuits which are independent.Air also needs to be purged in the gas circuit. Open the cylinderin the outside compartment, then open the red supply valvesto the various appliances. Purge by opening the heater supplyvalve and switching the gas on. You will know that there is nomore air in the circuit when it starts working (flame). Repeatthe operation for each device that uses gas.Your preparation operations will be finished when the waterand gas are both working. Please refer to chapter XI foroperation of each appliance.PLEASE notE: more detailed information from themanufacturer of each of these devices is supplied with thevehicle.4
CHAP. IIICarrying passengersThe number of authorized seated positions in your campingcar when driving on the road is marked on the registrationcertificate. When travelling, passengers must be seated withsafety belts securely fastened.Their use while the vehicle is in motion may contravene roadregulations and introduce risks about which the user shouldbe aware.Similarly, unexpected movements of the vehicle can makestanding people fall over.Equipment, accessories and conveniences in the livingarea of the camping car are designed for use when the vehicleis stationary only.therefore, the driver and passengers should evaluate theserisks in each case.this is particularly the case for the extensible televisionsupport which is only usable after vehicle total stop.the manufacturer cannot be held responsible for incidents oraccidents occurring whilst the camping car is in motion.PLEASE notE:A pictogram indicates the seats which must not be used whenon the road.5

IVLoads and loaded weightThe camping car is a mobile home so everyone can lay it out ashe or she wishes, but some rules have to be respected ; thesecan be summarized as two main rules.The first, is to keep the center of gravity low. This is a questionof safety to improve the road holding of your camping car.You simply need to keep the weight low, in other words puteverything heavy in the lower compartments and lightweightarticles in the top cupboards.The second rule, is the maximum authorised loaded weight.This is noted directly on the motor-caravan’s registrationcertificate.You must respect this limit by reducing your load, simply byeliminating everything that is superfluous.In addition, you must also respect the maximum authorizedload on each of the front and rear axles, as well as a left/rightdistribution that is an balanced as possible with respect tothe vehicle axis (loaded vehicle with, of course, passengersincluded).kgThe maximum permitted loads on each axle are given on theliving compartment identification plate.If you have a roof rack and would like to use it to transportlightweight equipment (see centre of gravity problem), makesure your load is tied down firmly and to protect your “roofplate” in order to avoid rubbing or other damaging actions,which would cause the roof covering (polyester skin) todeteriorate.On the inside, take full advantage of the storage areas forclothing and utensils; when traveling, everything must beperfectly wedged in and furniture doors must be closed andlocked.To do this, use the special equipment present, straps, locksand/or bolts, in particular for the shower, toilet and closetdoors.EmPtY wEIGHt rEADY For uSE:the empty weight ready for use includes the driver’s weight (75 Kg), as well as 100% of the water reservoirs, 90% of fuel and100% of gas.The list of empty weights ready for use takes into account only standard equipment at delivery from the factory. Europeanregulations tolerate a difference of /- 5% in empty weight ready for use. The vehicle maker reserves the right to modify this listof equipment at any time.6

IVLoads and loaded weightImPortAnt :Be sure that you have correctly evaluated the weight of allobjects you intend to transport in your vehicle, includingpassengers and fixed and movable accessories and options.Your clean water reservoir was tared at the factory for a30-liter capacity, in compliance with regulations concerningthe technically admissible maximum load weight for yourmotorhome when it is on the road.CAutIon : When you carry out manual descaling of a 30- to 125liter clean water reservoir, you must recheck its load capacity.This check-up may require eliminating one seated place g stopperRemove 30 LApply 125 LDrainpipeBlueTo apply the stopper, just push it inside the pipe.To remove the stopper.Push onthe flangeringPull the stopper out whileholding theflange ringwArnInG:You must never go beyond the technically admissible maximum load for your vehicle.ImPortAnt :Be careful to avoid going beyond the maximal authorized loads per axle which are listed on the vehicle’s identification plate.Information related to the certified capacity of your clean water reservoir and the way to increase it for travel are found on thegas certificate supplied with your vehicle.7

VIItyresn Tyresn Spare tyreVerification of pressure should be done when the motor homeis loaded (cold tires).The Fix and Go Kit system has been adopted in place of thespare tyre.Tire pressure is given by the carrier manufacturer in themaintenance booklet and is also found on the front door frame.In case of a flat tire, please do the following:In addition, the maximum tyre pressure authorised by themanufacturer is indicated in PSI on the side of the tyre (15 PSI 1 bar).Alignment is adjusted by the manufacturer of the unit at thefactory and must be checked again without fail at 1500 km.A yearly check-up / adjustment is highly recommended. Theseinterventions are paid for by the user.12- completely remove the vehicle from the traffic area. IXParking maneuversWhen you have found a place to park, you can position yourvehicle using the rearview mirrors as a guide, but we suggestyou call on someone to help you when backing up.Some of our models are fitting with a parking detector, anideal aid for demanding motor caravanners.The parking detector informs the driver of the distance of anobstacle by means of an audible signal, which makes parkingsafer. The system is automatically activated as soon as reversegear is engaged.n OperationThe parking detector emits ultrasonic sound waves that arereflected by an obstacle and generates an audible signal. Theexact detection of the distance of an obstacle renders parkingmanoeuvres easier, even in restricted spaces. IXParking maneuversPlease note:n ParkingSome of our models have a front parking sensor; a switch onthe dashboard allows turning it on for a delicate maneuver ina forward direction.To ensure perfect stability of your rear (*) jacks, rememberto take along at least two wooden wedges to place on theground under the jack shoe.The jacks serve only to stabilize your motorhome and keep itfrom moving when you walk around on the inside; they shouldnever be used to correct a slant or as for changing a tire.This sensor operates in an identical way to the rear parkingsensor, with the same stipulations and important commentsas listed above.make sure that the floor of your motor home is perfectlyhorizontal to ensure the correct operation of all the functionsin your motor home’s living compartment.(*) A standard feature on some models and an option onothers.?16
CHAP. Xthe camper driver’s charterAs with all types of vehicles, you need to follow the highwaycode when driving a camping car. You must respect trafficrules applicable to private cars.In town centers or suburban areas, you should park yourcamping car:- in areas with low population density- where it will not obstruct visibility and access to shops- so that it does not hinder traffic.warning: All water drain taps must be closed when traveling.Put domestic garbage in bags and leave the bags in locationsprovided for them.Applying all these principales will make forgood neighborliness, help to protect the environmentso that you can expect a warm welcomewherever you go.When staying in your camping car in this type of area:- Do not have anything projecting outside the vehicle- Do not cause any nuisance for neighbors- Do not monopolize public areas- Take care that your pets do not make a mess outside.Drain waste water into appropriate locations such as specialservice areas, stands, public or private toilets, etc.warning: Do not empty your waste water into rain waterdrain pipes (gullies) since not all of them are connected to atreatment plant.n EURO-RELAIS stationThese stations are provided specially for camping carenthusiasts.It is fairly easy to find them, since all specialized pressmagazines print frequently updated guides telling you whereto find them.You can fill up with water in these stations, and also andespecially you can empty your waste water and the WCcassette.Please leave the area in a clean condition for the next user.?17

XI- operation of appliancesn ELECtrICItY PowEr SuPPLYn GeneralThe electrical energy necessary for your lighting and foroperation of all household appliances, water pump, WC, etc.in your living compartment is provided by a 12 volt battery (2on certain models).- CB 516 charger: To access the contactor, open the hood(remove the two attachment screws) and look for it next tokgthe fan.All extra batteries are installed in addition to the basic vehiclebattery.A coupling relay is installed between the two batteries:- when traveling, this relay couples the two batteriestogether so that they are recharged simultaneously.- separate» the batteries when stopped. XI- operation of appliances- n BAttErIEThe natural phenomenon by which batteries discharge slowlyand regularly means that they are often in a deep dischargesituation.It has been observed that only a very small percentage ofbatteries are capable of accepting charge and thereforeoperating satisfactorily, starting from this deep dischargecondition.In order to avoid this situation, you MUST:- either take out your batteries after charging them andstoring them protected from frost.- or to leave the vehicle connected to the 230 V supplyand thus make sure that the living compartment remainscharged.- or at least for short periods (1 or 2 weeks), disconnectthe batteries and leave them in position after rechargingthem.Given the diverse and varied conditions of use of cellbatteries (not supplied by the manufacturer), its guaranteeis excluded of global guarantee.In the event that an auxiliary battery is replaced, the newbattery must be of the same type and capacity as the auxiliarybattery originally installed.n Battery level alarmkgA buzzer is installed on certains models.n Fitting «electrical options»We draw your attention to the need to connect the solar panelaccording to our recommendations. The connection is plannedin the pre-equipment (see electrical diagram provided with theliving compartment.
