The fourth quarter of 2021 to firstquarter of 2022 percentage change was revised from the advance estimate of 1.5 percent ( 0.4 percent).UtilitiesU.S. utilities revenue for the first quarter of 2022, adjusted for seasonal variation but not for price changes,was 167.6 billion, an increase of 1.6 percent ( 2.5 percent)* from the fourth quarter of 2021 and up 8.0percent ( 1.5 percent) from the first quarter of 2021. The third quarter of 2021 to fourth quarter of 2021percentage change was revised from 1.7 percent ( 2.5 percent)* to 2.8 percent ( 2.5 percent).Transportation and warehousingU.S. transportation and warehousing revenue for the first quarter of 2022, adjusted for seasonal variationbut not for price changes, was 345.8 billion, an increase of 4.6 percent ( 0.6 percent) from the fourthquarter of 2021 and up 34.6 percent ( 2.7 percent) from the first quarter of 2021. InformationU.S. information sector revenue for the first quarter of 2022, adjusted for seasonal variation but not forprice changes, was 549.6 billion, an increase of 3.9 percent ( 0.8 percent) from the fourth quarter of2021 and up 11.8 percent ( 1.3 percent) from the first quarter of 2021. The third quarter of 2021 tofourth quarter of 2021 percentage change was revised from 1.9 percent ( 0.6 percent) to 1.8 percent( 0.6 percent).Finance and insuranceU.S. finance and insurance revenue for the first quarter of 2022, not adjusted for seasonal variation, orprice changes, was 1,395.4 billion, an increase of 0.2 percent ( 0.6 percent)* from the fourth quarter of2021 and up 7.2 percent ( 0.8 percent) from the first quarter of 2021. The fourth quarter of 2021 to firstquarter of 2022 percentage change was revised from the advance estimate of 0.8 percent ( 0.4 percent).Real estate and rental and leasingU.S. real estate and rental and leasing revenue for the first quarter of 2022, adjusted for seasonal variationbut not for price changes, was 234.6 billion, an increase of 2.2 percent ( 1.3 percent) from the fourthquarter of 2021 and up 18.2 percent ( 1.1 percent) from the first quarter of 2021. The third quarter of2021 to fourth quarter of 2021 percentage change was revised from 3.0 percent ( 1.1 percent) to 3.3percent ( 1.1 percent).Professional, scientific, and technical servicesU.S. professional, scientific, and technical services revenue for the first quarter of 2022, adjusted forseasonal variation but not for price changes, was 651.3 billion, an increase of 2.9 percent ( 0.8 percent)from the fourth quarter of 2021 and up 13.2 percent ( 1.5 percent) from the first quarter of 2021. Educational servicesU.S. educational services revenue for the first quarter of 2022, adjusted for seasonal variation but not forprice changes, was 23.3 billion, an increase of 4.8 percent ( 2.8 percent) from the fourth quarter of 2021and up 19.2 percent ( 7.6 percent) from the first quarter of 2021. The third quarter of 2021 to fourthquarter of 2021 percentage change was revised from 2.0 percent ( 3.8 percent)* to 4.0 percent( 4.0 percent)*.Health care and social assistanceU.S. healthcare and social assistance services revenue for the first quarter of 2022, adjusted for seasonalvariation but not for price changes, was 781.6 billion, a decrease of 1.4 percent ( 0.9 percent) from thefourth quarter of 2021 and up 4.4 percent ( 1.1 percent) from the first quarter of 2021.
