T imothy D. Hall was named dean of Samford University’s Howard College of Arts and Sciences, effective July 11. His appointment followed a national search to replace David W. Chapman, who retired as dean at the end of the 2015-16 academic year. Hall will also hold the title professor of history in Howard College, which is
