Public Procurement Authority: Electronic Bulletin Jan — Feb 2018Vol. 9, Issue 1Trial of 4 Former NCA Bosses BeginsThe trial of a former DirectorGeneral and three former boardmembers of the National Communications Authority (NCA) and abusinessman accused of causing 4 millionfinancial loss to the state commenced onJanuary 16, 2018.The accused persons are the former Director-General, William Matthew Tetteh Tevie,and the former board members — EugeneBaffoe-Bonnie, Nana Owusu Ensaw andAlhaji Salifu Mimina Osman — and thebusinessman, George Derek Oppong.Theyhave been accused among other things including engaging in infractions in the procurement of listening devices for the state.During the trial, the Director of Legal Services at the National Communications Authority (NCA), Abena Asafo Adjei, servingas the first prosecuting witness deniedknowledge of 4m deal in court.
