They contain important information about the installation, operation andmaintenance. Keep this User Manual for future reference. If you sell the unit to another user, be sure that he also receives thisinstruction booklet. Unpack and check the unit carefully that it has not been damaged during transport before using the unit. Before operating, ensure that the voltage and frequency of power supply match the power requirements of theunit. The unit is for indoor use only in a dry location. It is essential that the unit is earthed. Only connect to a wall outlet with earth connection. The unit must be installed in a location with adequate ventilation, at least 0.5m from adjacent surfaces. Be surethat no ventilation slots are blocked. Disconnect mains power before fuse replacement or servicing. Make sure there are no inflammable materials close to the unit during operation. In the event of serious operating problem, stop using the unit immediately. Never try to repair the unit by yourself. Repair carried out by unskilled people can lead to damage or malfunction. Please contact the nearest authorized technical assistance center and always use the same type of spareparts. Do not touch any wires during operation as high voltage might be causing electric shock. The light source of this unit is not replaceable. If it is faulty, the unit must be discarded. The product is for decorative purposes only and not suitable as a household room illumination.DISCONNECT DEVICEWhere the MAINS plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shallremain readily operable.The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within an equilateral Triangle, is intended to alert the user tothe presence of not insulated dangerous voltages within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficientmagnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the appliance.CAUTIONDO NOT OPEN THE HOUSINGSHOCK HAZARDInstallationThe unit should be mounted via its screw holes on the bracket. Always ensure that the unit is firmly fixed toavoid vibration and slipping while operating. Always ensure that the structure to which you are attaching theunit is secure and able to support a weight of 10 times of the unit’s weight. Also always use a safety cable thatcan hold 12 times the weight of the unit when installing the fixture.The equipment must be fixed by professionals at a place where is out of the reach of people and where nobodycan pass by or under it.Fixture LinkingYou will need a serial data link to run light shows of one or more fixtures using a DMX-512 controller or to runsynchronized shows on two or more fixtures set to a master/slave operating mode. The combined number ofchannels required by all fixtures on a serial data link determines the number of fixtures that the data link cansupport.Important: Fixtures on a serial/data link must be daisy chained in one single line. MANUAL - COMBI-FX3CABLE CONNECTORSCabling must have a male XLR connector on one end and a female XLR connector on the other end.DMX connector configurationTermination reduces signal errors. To avoid signal transmission problems and interference, it is always advisable to connect a DMX signal terminator.CAUTIONDo not allow contact between the common and the fixture’s chassis ground. Grounding the common can cause a ground loop, and your fixture may perform erratically.Test cables with an ohm meter to check correct polarity and to make sure the pinsare not grounded or shorted to the shield or each other.Setting up a DMX Serial Data Link1. Connect the (male) 3 pin connector side of the DMX cable to the output (female) 3 pin connector of thecontroller.2. Connect the end of the cable coming from the controller which will have a (female) 3 pin connector to theinput connector of the next fixture consisting of a (male) 3 pin connector.3. Then, proceed to connect from the output as stated above to the input of the following fixture and so on.DMX address settingEach fixture must have a specific starting address. When receiving signal transmission, every fixture will receivechannels control signals for its own starting address.The user can set several fixtures to the same address or set up a separate address for every device.If more than one fixture is set to the same address, all of them receive the same DMX channels signals. Allconnected fixtures are jointly controlled; the controller can’t control a device separately.If every device is set to a different address, it will receive different DMX signals corresponding to its startingaddress.This device has 9 or 17 channels. So, if the device is set to 9CH and the first device’s starting address is set to1, second is 10 (1 9), third is 19 (10 9) and so on.Control PanelThe control panel is the mechanism for configuring the settings. Si vous vendez l’appareil à un autre utilisateur, assurez-vousqu’il reçoit également le mode d’emploi. Dès réception de l’appareil, ouvrez le carton et vérifiez que le contenu est complet et en bon état. L’appareil doit être alimenté uniquement par l’adaptateur secteur fourni.
