In order to ensure this journeywill be successful, you must take an active role.Below are a few tips that may help you to succeed: Take it seriously. This is your education and isthe key to your future success. Ask if you need help. The College has manysupport services to help you succeed. Don’tbe afraid to ask questions and seek help ifyou are struggling. Engage. Meet your classmates and get to know your instructors, advisors andadministrators. Get involved in the activities on campus. Find balance. Develop a routine that allows for the balancing of schoolwork, family andother responsibilities in your life. Set goals. Yourmitchellccmail.com account is the official method ofelectronic communication and you are responsible for theconsequences of not reading College-related emails sent toyour official Mitchell account. With your account, you canmanage your calendar, share events and whole calendars,and stay on schedule with mobile access and even SMSappointment reminders.To set up your email, go to www.mitchellcc.edu, clickon “Email” under “Resources.” For new students, yourusername is your first initial middle initial last name andyour password is your 8-digit date of birth, mmddyyyy. When you log in to Moodle, move your mouse over the course name Click on your underlined course name Follow the instructors directions found in “Syllabus/Assignments/”For Internet and hybrid courses, you must first log in and finish an assignment to completeyour enrollment and ensure you are officially part of the class. Otherwise, you could be droppedas a no-show. If your class is not listed by noon on the first day of class, or if you have anemail login question, send an email to dl-information@mitchellcc.edu.
