The Eastern Cape Province is divided into seven District Municipalities (including a Metro District), demarcated as shown in Figure 1. In 2010, the province had 65 District Hospitals serving an estimated population of 6, 654,844 people. Table 2 gives a list of District Hospitals in the province by District and sub-district location. .
