D RILL THROUGH THE PIPE UNTIL NO RESISTANCE IS FELT WHEN ADVANCING THE HOT TAP SLEEVE . 1. A FTER HOLE IS DRILLED THROUGH THE PIPE , RETRACT H OT T AP S LEEVE BY TURNING COUNTER CLOCKWISE . 2. D ISENGAGE THREADS AND PULL UP ON H OT T AP S LEEVE TO ENSURE PROPER CLEARANCE BETWEEN H OT T AP S HELL CUTTER AND CORPORATION STOP .
