MICHAE L ANG CH TENNIS CLASSIC MICHAEL CHANG TENNIS CLASSIC JULY 20, 26 - 28, 2013 Presented by Chang Family Foundation

Welcome Dear MCTC Participants, We are so happy to have you be a part of the Michael Chang Tennis Classic this year! We hope you will not only truly enjoy your time with us but that you will also walk away feeling blessed because of your experience and having made a friend or two. Our dedicated staff and willing volunteers have worked extremely hard in trying to again make this year’s event 1st class! Besides the Chang Family Foundation, we have another wonderful beneficiary this year in the Prince of Peace Children’s Home in Tianjin, China. This orphanage has won numerous awards for its care and housing of children with special needs. And because of its success, it has become a model and training ground for other orphanages all across China! I personally have been a big supporter of this orphanage for many years after having visited in 2004 and we are so excited to have them be our main beneficiary this year! I know everyone is looking forward to the competition at this year’s event but please do take some time to watch some great tennis, make some friends, enjoy the atmosphere and don’t forget to pick up your player bag! We have had really great player bags the past couple of years that included a personalized tennis bag tag and unfortunately, some people forget or don’t pick them up. It’s one of the unique aspects of playing in our tournament so be sure to stop by Newport Beach Tennis Club to get this year’s player bag! I hope you have a wonderful tournament and wish all of you the best of luck this weekend! Play well, have fun and know that all of our efforts are going toward making a difference in people’s lives while touching hearts too! Take good care and we’ll see you on the courts! Sincerely, Michael Chang 3

Prince of Peace Children’s Home and Children Rehabilitation Center was built to provide a loving home for orphaned children from local children’s welfare institutes. We are dedicated to serving children with special needs. Currently, all children at the Home, ranging from six months to thirteen years old, suffer from various congenital illnesses. POP’s Foundation 3536 Arden Road Hayward, CA 94545 Tel: (800) 732-2328 Fax: (510) 887-1799 info@princeofpeacecharity.org www.princeofpeacecharity.org

Your participation in the Michael Chang Tennis Classic 2013 helps change the lives of more than 110 orphans with special needs at Prince of Peace Children’s Home (POPCH) in Wuqing, Tianjin, China. POPCH is a special place because of what we do. This unique joint project between the Chinese government and a U.S. foundation is the first officially foreign run orphanage in China. It is funded by the POP’s Foundation of USA and managed by World Vision International, China (a world-renowned humanitarian organization). The 49,000 square feet project was built on an 1.5 acre compound. The facility can accommodate up to 120 children and provide rehabilitation services to them through the different types of therapy rooms, including sensory stimulation, water therapy, and physical therapy. During the past ten years of operation, POPCH has earned numerous awards at the local, regional, and national levels. We were also appointed as the training hub in the areas of special education, rehabilitation and social work services by Ministry of Civil Affairs Management College starting March 2010. We have served a total of 169 children through the 288 volunteers and visitors from overseas over the years. 32 children have already been adopted by families in the United States, Belgium, Sweden, Spain, The Netherlands, and even domestically in China since 2007. These children might not be “perfect” in the eyes of many, but it is a blessing for us to serve them and to share with you the joy that flows from their hearts. We would love for you to continue to partner with us in helping these adorable children. The lives that we change drive us, and it is your gifts that enable us. Best wishes of success, Ken Yeung, Founder, Prince of Peace Children’s Home, POP’s Foundation
