An Introduction to ; THE DEVOTION to THE DIVINE MERCY . A TALK by Mr Philip Illsley. On THURSDAY 19th FEBRUARY 2015 after 7.00pm Mass At St PHILIP EVANS Church in Llanederyn Cardiff . Pgs.illsley@sky.com or www.holyishisname.co.uk Good evening to you all ; My Name is Philip Illsley and for over 30 years now I have been giving Talks in the Cardiff and the Menevia Diocese and other places throughout the UK . These Talks are mainly about The Divine Mercy , The Apparitions of Our Blessed Mother over the last 150 years, in Places like ; La Salette , Fatima, Garabandal, and Medjugorje, and Talks about God The Father and The Divine Will. I also lead the Welsh Pilgrimage to Medjugorje and my visit there in June this year will be my 50th Visit there . I also lead the Welsh Pilgrimage to Garabandal and to The Holy Land. My Divine Mercy Prayer Groups in Cardiff ; In St Albans and in St Peters will be 23 years old this April 2015, and we celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday in St
Albans Church in Cardiff and on Divine Mercy Sunday on April 12th this year will also be the 23rd year that we have celebrated Divine Mercy Sunday In St Albans . Our Divine Mercy Prayer Group in St Albans Cardiff I would like to thank, Fr Gareth Leyshon for inviting me here tonight to Talk about The Divine Mercy and the Devotion to The Divine Mercy . The Talk ; The Divine Mercy message was given by Jesus to a humble Catholic nun called Sr Maria Faustina; Between 1930 and her death in 1938 .
The Message of DIVINE MERCY ; given to her by Jesus is That God Loves us all of us ; No matter how Great or how Grave our Sins are . Jesus ; Wants us all to realise and to recognise ; That His Mercy is far greater than our sins . It dose, Not Matter what we have done in our lives to Offend God ! Because, Jesus wants us all to call upon Him with Trust ! To sincerely repent of our sins , through the Sacrament of Confession to receive His forgiveness and Mercy and then most Importantly ; To Let His Mercy flow through us to others . This in a nutshell ; is The Divine Mercy Message .
Sr Maria Faustina Sr Faustina ; Was born Helena Kowalska in the year 1905, in a small village called Gladowike in Poland , she came from a very poor family and was the third of ten children . At the very tender age of seven she new that she would become a nun, and even at this age she had a great love of Jesus and would spend many hours with Jesus in Prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. At the age of twenty she entered the convent of the sisters of Our Lady of Mercy and took the name of Sr Maria Faustina. Sr Faustina ; began to write her diary in the Summer of 1934 , she wrote and suffered in secret with only here spiritual director and
some of her superiors aware that something very special was taking place in her life, and her diary is an account of her discovery of God’s love. And the title of this diary is ; Divine Mercy in my soul. This diary is one of the best selling books of all time, and this has been approved by the Church and accepted as Catholic teaching. Through this devotion Jesus wants all people to come to know more about the Fathers Love . A Father that loves us so Much that He gave His only Son to Die for us, and to Trust in the Divine Mercy as a means of Salvation for all Mankind. Jesus went as far as to say to Sr Faustina ; That these messages are The Final Hope for all Mankind. And Jesus has revealed To Sr
Faustina , special ways to make it clear and easy for all people to respond to God’s Mercy. Jesus has given us 4 Aids and Several Great Promises To Those who will Trust in His Mercy . The 1st aid Jesus gives us is the Picture The Image of DIVINE MERCY. At The very 1st apparition Jesus asked Sr Faustina ; to have a picture painted of how he appeared to her With the words Jesus I trust in You at the bottom of the image.
Jesus desired That this image be first venerated in her own chapel and then throughout the whole world . And Jesus attached This Great Promise to It I Promise, that the person who will venerate This Image Will Not Perish ! I further, promise to that person victory over their enemies already here on earth, and especially at the hour of their death . I Myself Shall Defend That Person as My Own Glory, at the hour of their death I Shall Not be The Just Judge for them, but the Merciful Saviour ! . I shall Preserve The Homes and the Cities in which this Image shall Be Found ! WHAT a Wonderful promise of Help and Protection from Jesus.
Krakow in Poland Vilnius in Poland This Great Promise of Jesus of Protection has already happened ! Two Polish Cities were Saved ! Krakow and Vilnius --- These were the only two cities that displayed ; THE DIVINE MERCY IMAGE for public veneration before the start of the second world war. Although two armies invaded Poland and caused terrible damage everywhere These two Cities were spared. Krakow, had a population of over 600,000
people, Vilnius had a population of over 400,000 people Yet these Cities were spared ! Cardiff today has a population of 350,000 so you can see how big these Polish cities were YET THEY WERE SPARED !! THERE IS NO LOGICAL or NATURAL REASON for this But Jesus had promised to spare the cities in which is IMAGE shall be found. Can I Ask You all here Tonight how many of you have the Divine Mercy Image in Your homes How many of You venerate this image daily and say the consecration prayer to the Divine Mercy daily ? ( I have a Free Image of the Divine Mercy for all of you here tonight , and Other Free aids for you all after my Talk )
Jesus Told Sr Faustina; I am offering people a Vessel to which they are to keep coming for graces; That vessel is my image with the words Jesus I trust in you at the bottom of the image. This Image is a source of Grace for all of your families . Place it in your homes and let it be a means to RE – CHRISTINIZE your family and to protect all your family. This Image was given to us by Jesus to be a reminder of His continual presence in our lives . With this image Jesus Blesses us, He radiates us , with His rays of
Mercy ! He shields us all from all Evil, all harm, all danger, and all Illusion. Always reminding us to continually express our Trust in His Mercy ! We demonstrate our trust by venerating this image of Our Merciful Saviour with Sincerity ! When we say JESUS I TRUST IN YOU ! Looking at this Image This should, Not be just rhetoric ! but a Profound Statement That is a Personal communion with Jesus JESUS; Pleaded with Sr Faustina and He Pleads with us to always remain within the rays of his Mercy ; For it is Only here we can Avoid The Justice of The Father We should always keep a little picture of the Image on our person at all times. To Honour the fact that Jesus Promised that this would protect us from our enemies in this world and in today’s world of so much Evil .
This, Consecration Prayer to Jesus should be on our lips and in our hearts as the first thing we do each morning we awake and each evening before we go to sleep. The Consecration Prayer to the Divine Mercy Jesus, we consecrate our entire life from here on to You without reserve. Into Your hands we
abandon our past, our present, our future, Jesus, we ask You from this day on, to look after this family. Help us to be true children of God and children of Your Blessed Mother Mary. Through this image may Your Divine Mercy Triumph over all the powers of evil the world over. May all who venerate it never perish. May it be their joy in life, their hope in death, and their glory in eternity. This we ask through Christ Our Lord. Amen This is the way to Live and always Remain Within the Shelter of His Rays of Mercy Jesus went on to say this about the protection from his Divine Mercy Image Jesus said this ; Just like the ancient Hebrews who marked their houses with a cross made from the blood of the paschal lamb and were spared by the exterminating Angel So It will be

Jesus Said I Desire That This Feast Day be Celebrated with Great Solemnity on the First Sunday after Easter and with this came another
great promise I promise that the person that will go to Confession and Communion on this day Will obtain a complete remission of all sin and all Punishment . Jesus told Sr Faustina; To proclaim to the world a new Feast Day ; A Day to become New Christians, cleansing our souls of all Past Sins and obtaining a complete remission of all Punishment ! If we are Sincere and Repentant and go to confession and communion on Divine Mercy Sunday we will be forgiven all past sins and will Not suffer any Punishment for those sins in the next life With this great promise
Jesus is offering All people the choice of a new Baptism ! This Great Grace we receive on Divine Mercy Sunday The forgiveness of All Temporal Punishment due to sins already forgiven. But it is the complete forgiveness of the Sins Themselves Which means we spend NO TIME in PURGATORY !! This is an Indulgence That can Only be Granted By God Himself And This is what is available to All Catholics on the Feast of Mercy ! WHY CATHOLICS are NOT QUEING off the M4 To Get Into St Albans Church on Divine Mercy Sunday AMAZES ME !. One Day a Year Only on Divine Mercy Sunday God is giving us all the Opportunity to Wipe our Souls Clean !.
When we go to confession Our Priest absolves us from our sins But He does not and indeed he cannot absolve us from Any Punishment those sins may have incurred to pay off the debt to Gods Justice . Only indulgences Free us from this punishment . And, this Wonderful Indulgence We receive on Divine Mercy Sunday is given to us by Jesus Himself. On this Day and Only on this day once a year !
It is so Important for us all to take advantage of This Time of Mercy because Jesus told Sr Faustina Woe, To those who do not take advantage of this Time of Mercy . Because, those who will Not Pass through the door of My Mercy
Will, have to Pass through The Door of My Justice . And when Jesus Closes, the Door of His Mercy and Opens the Door of His Justice. Who, of Us can Obtain Heaven . When Heaven, is only for The Pure and Only for the Clean And Who are the Pure and who are the clean Because we are All Sinners ! it is, Only through His love and Divine Mercy That we can Obtain The Blessed Homeland Of Heaven . Jesus told Sr Faustina That thousands of people die unexpectedly each day and find themselves before the tribunal of God to be judged and after this definitive judgement It is eternity that opens up for them Many are Lost If Sinners Knew of my Mercy
they would not Perish in such great numbers People perish In Spite of My Bitter Passion I Am giving them the last hope of Salvation, That is the Feast of My Mercy If they will Not accept My Mercy They will Perish for all Eternity ! I Strongly advise you all tonight to take advantage of this Wonderful Grace available only on this day, and only on this day once a year !
After all Who Of Us Know if we will be hear on this Earth this year or next year . I would like to thank your parish priest here in St Philip Evans ; Fr Gareth Leyshon for all of his great support over many years in coming to the Divine Mercy Celebration at St Albans and for the many hours he has spent in the confessional on this great Feast Day . Jesus said Confession is the Tribunal of My Mercy There He said The Greatest Miracles take place MIRACLES of Conversion. The 3rd And 4th Aids Jesus Gives us in This Devotion Are THE CHAPLET of Divine Mercy and the Novena.
Jesus said I have given the world this prayer to Mitigate Gods Anger and to Mitigate Chastisements for the world and to bring, ALL MANKIND closer to God . Jesus is telling us that this PRAYER is so POWERFUL it can lessen or even avoid chastisements for the world. No Wonder Jesus told Sr Faustina to say This Chaplet Incessantly .
Whoever will keep on reciting it will receive Great Mercy at the hour of their death and every person who recites this Chaplet will Not Perish ! Jesus said; At the Hour of their death I will defend this person as My own Glory ! and, I will not be the just judge for them but the Merciful Saviour. And if we recite this chaplet near a dying person that person will receive the same grace. Even the most hardened sinner if he recites this Chaplet Just one time, he
will receive Great Graces from My Infinite Mercy. I want to give Great graces to those who will TRUST in My Mercy. My friends By Praying this Chaplet we Give Jesus Permission to Be Merciful And his Mercy will always exceed our needs and our asking for His plans for us are always greater than our plans for ourselves, so when we say this Chaplet we allow Jesus to fulfil His plan in His way and in His timing and His plan is to have Mercy on all Mankind, this is why He gave us the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.
The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is a Eucharistic Offering The Chaplet Of divine Mercy Echoes the Prayer of St Michael The Archangel at Fatima. The Chaplet Of Divine Mercy Is so close to the Offering and Sacrifice of the Holy Mass. When we say Eternal Father , I offer You The Body and Blood , soul and Divinity of Your Dearly beloved Son, OUR Lord Jesus Christ in atonement for our sins and the sins of the whole world : For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and, on the whole world. By this prayer, we Not only honour Jesus as Divine Mercy Itself But we also Ask Him to have Mercy on us on our Needs on the needs of
the Church and on the needs of The Whole World. Jesus Told Faustina O What Great Graces, I will grant to people who will recite this Chaplet You can obtain Anything for Yourself and for others for the Asking ! There Is No doubt today That the worlds Greatest and most urgent need is for God’s Divine Mercy ! The Novena to the Divine Mercy Can be said at any time and it is a Novena for 9 Days But Jesus especially wished it to be said
Starting on Good Friday And ending on His Feast of Mercy . The 3.0 Clock Prayer Is Called The Great Conversion Prayer Jesus wants us to give Him our Love by Being with HIM At 3 .o clock in The Afternoon The hour of His Death but also at 3.o clock in the morning The Hour of His Resurrection . Jesus told Faustina, if you say this 3.0clock prayer with a contrite Heart and with Faith which is of course belief and TRUST and when we say this prayer on behalf of some sinner someone who does not believe, someone who does not pray and who has no hope, someone who has
lost their Faith ; Jesus says ; I will give that person the Grace of Conversion . This is why The 3.0clock Prayer is known as the Great Conversion Prayer My friends, Jesus gave us this great 3.0clock prayer To invite Him Into the Life of another because Without this 3.0 clock Prayer sinners who will Not pray for themselves who will Not go to Mass or the Sacraments Those who are without Hope and purpose this 3.0clock prayer brings into a sinners life, forgiveness, mercy, love, and Salvation ! Only God, In His Infinite Mercy Can answer the Needs of Those who are without Hope ! I Know That there will be many here tonight , who may have members of their own family, their own children, work colleagues who have strayed or lost their faith
entirely, if you know someone in this position. Then YOU tonight have been given the task and the entrustment of their soul because Jesus has given you tonight This great conversion prayer the 3.0clock prayer and this is the means to SAVE THEM and bring them back to their Faith ! Jesus told Faustina, Know my daughter This prayer is always heard and always answered ! This Intercessory Prayer is so very powerful before the Throne of God, because it is demonstrating out Trust in Him praying for God’s Mercy for ourselves and for others is also a great stepping Stone to Sanctity !
I urge you all here tonight to wake up to what is happening in the world, to open your eyes, your heart, your mind, to believe, to listen, and to live the many Urgent messages coming from Jesus and His Blessed mother
throughout these last 150 years and their call to return to God Now before it is to late. We are all of us today craving for a new and a better World But this is not possible without God in it ,man needs God to become a new man, a better man, a more righteous man but with the denying of God, and the with drawl from God that we are all witnessing in the world today, man is pulling darkness down upon himself and rushing headlong into destruction and the Tribulation. Today man has never been more worried, more insecure, more sinful, and sick, and never in greater misery, and torment than he is today, simply because many people are far from God. This great rebellion against God, that we are
all living in today, will be seen in the future and recognised in the future for what it has produced , hatred, misery, sorrow, war and death, all that can happen when the will and the mind of man, is separated from the Will and the Mind of God ! Can we all resolve here tonight To live the message of Divine mercy and in doing this we can all of us hasten the victory of Good over evil God loves us all and wants us all to be happy with Him for all Eternity. This is the Merciful call of Jesus
Calling,us to return to Him now before it is to late. This is Divine Mercy in our souls! Say this little prayer daily Jesus, I Trust in Thee Jesus, I surrender myself to Thee Take care of everything Say this little prayer daily, from your heart and sincerely and you know, – He Will take care of everything Jesus said; my children I Bless you and I am inviting you to recite this invocation ; Merciful Jesus, Mother of Divine Love, Bless the Church and the world; I will clasp you in my arms and I bless all of your initiatives and your families.
In my hand I have the 1st class relic of Saint Maria Faustina, of the most Blessed Sacrament . We are very fortunate to have this relic of this great saint and mystic of the Catholic Church in St Peters Church in Cardiff. About twelve years ago I went to meet Fr Piotr Prusakiewicz who was the priest at the convent of The sisters of Our Lady of Mercy in Krakow in Poland and I met him at Heathrow airport in London . He was on a visit to the UK and he brought over this relic for us. Saint Maria Faustina I believe will be seen in the future as one of
the greatest saints and mystic’s of the Catholic Church Jesus lavished upon her many gifts she had the great gift of prophecy she foretold the day and date of her own death October 5th 1938 , she also foretold that she would one day become a saint of the Catholic Church And she was canonised a saint of the Catholic Church on the 30th April 2000 the 1st Saint of the new 3rd millennium. One of the last entries in her diary she foretold that one day out of Poland would come forth the spark that will prepare the world for Christ’s second coming And forty years after her death in 1938
In September 1978 the man who first promoted her cause for canonisation as a priest, as a bishop, and as the Cardinal Archbishop of her home diocese Krakow Cardinal Carol Wotia Was elected to the see of St Peter as Pope John Paul 2nd her prophecy of forty years earlier had been fulfilled. She also had the great gift of Bilocation the gift of being in a number of different places throughout
the world whilst still being present at he convent in Krakow. She said she would feel herself transported to the death bed of many dying souls throughout the world to pray for them and to interceded for them before their death, whilst still being present in her convent. Sr Faustina, also suffered our Lords Stigmata the wounds in the hands and
feet and the crown of thorns, and she asked Jesus Not to make them visible. Jesus also said to her that she could distribute graces to who she wished and when she wished . Sr Faustina was also the Special Daughter of Mary the Mother of God it was Our lady who told her this when She appeared to her on the 25th March 1936 The Feast of The Annunciation She was Made a special Daughter of the Mother of God on this day in order that Mary, could prepare her for her very special mission which would be to Prepare the World for Christ’s final coming. No human being since the beginning of time was ever given such an awesome mission to prepare mankind for end of the world. Mary said speak to the world about His Great Mercy and prepare it for His second coming, speak to souls about this Great Mercy while it is still a time of Mercy.
