GOD’S ETERNAL PURPOSEGOD’S ETERNAL PURPOSEChapter 1Ephesians chapter 1 and verse 9 begins, “Having made knownunto us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure, which He hath purposed in Himself; that in the dispensation ofthe fullness of times He might gather together in one all things inChrist, both which are in Heaven, and which are on earth; evenin Him: in whom also we have obtained an inheritance, beingpredestinated according to the purpose of Him who worketh allthings after the counsel of His own will.”I’ve said for years that the book of Ephesians is my most favoritebook in the Bible, because the book of Ephesians actually givesyou the full picture of the plan of God. Paul says here, “That Hehas made known to us the mystery of His will, according to Hisgood pleasure, which He hath purposed in Himself.” God haspurposed something in the very beginning, in what we call “theeternal purpose from the beginning of His creation.”God had a purpose, but He purposed this within Himself. It hasnothing to do with me. What I do in this human consciousnessdoes not affect the will of God in any way, because this will hasnothing to do with our mistaken identity” that we’ve beenidentified with so for many years.God made a purpose, that in the dispensation of the fullness oftimes, He might gather together in one, all things in Christ. Now Iwaited for years to see the manifestation of this. In fact, wouldn’tit be wonderful if right today we could see this scripture fulfilled, that He had gathered together in one all things in Christ? Yet thatis exactly what has already happened. I believe that the cross is afocal point where Jesus went into death, and totally annihilated1

GOD’S ETERNAL PURPOSEthe world, sin, the flesh and the devil. All the negative things thatwe relate to were terminated at the cross. When Christ was resurrected from among the dead, He broughtinto resurrection all things. And that is when this scriptureactually was fulfilled. We have always been one in reality, but thecross was a focal point to help us realize that we are not separatefrom one another; we are all of one Body. The scripture revealsthat through the cross both Jew and Gentile (The saved and lost)were united in one body.So it’s not something in the future; it’s something that has allready happened. The fullness of times came together at thecross. The most important event that has ever happened inhistory, is the focus that we put on the cross, knowing that thatwas the end of the old creation, and the beginning of the new.“In the fullness of times he might gather together in one allthings in Christ.” Now, that has already been done, but we havenot really seen the reality of that worked out yet in all of creation;but nevertheless it has been done.“That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gathertogether in one all things in Christ, both which are in Heaven, and which are on earth.” So the things that are in Heaven rightnow, and the things that are in earth have been gathered intoone. If we are living out of a spiritual identity, and we know thatwe are a new creation on this earth, we are now living in thatHeavenly realm. So all of us, who are living in this Heavenly realm, recognize the oneness amongst ourselves. The people on earth, who are living out of an earthy humanconsciousness, they too have already been gathered into one.One of our greatest privileges is to reveal to all of creation that2

GOD’S ETERNAL PURPOSEthey are already made one in Christ, that at the cross they werereconciled and made one with Christ.Ephesians 1:11 “In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who worksall things after the counsel of His own will.” If we could believesome simple scriptures like this, what would we have to beconcerned about? If God gives us some simple revelation ofverses like this, we will be the most joyous, the most contentedand the most wonderful people on the earth. We are that now,but so many people, even people that love God; they really don’thave an understanding and a revelation of some of these simpletruths. When we have the revelation that we have been predestinated, that does not mean that I cannot make choices, or that God forcesme to do anything. The seed of God, which is our human spirit, iswhat God is concerned about. He is not concerned with theidentity that we have accumulated since our birth, of being simplya human being separated and alienated from God. We are theseed of God on the earth. The seed of God, the spiritual beingthat we are is where the predestination has taken place. We havebeen predestinated to be conformed to the image of God, whoworks all things after the counsel of His will.Ephesians 3 beginning in verse 10 says this: “To the intent thatnow unto the principalities and powers in Heavenly places mightbe made known by the church, the manifold wisdom of God,according to the eternal purpose which He purposed in ChristJesus our Lord, who works all things after the counsel of His ownwill.” Paul saysGod is working all things after the counsel of His own will. We aregetting many reports from all over the world, of people who are3

GOD’S ETERNAL PURPOSEbeginning to realize and have an understanding that they arespiritual beings. I’ve been ministering on this since about 1982.I recently posted writing on Facebook that I wrote a few yearsago on “The Secret.” A lot of people have been concerned aboutme teaching this because they think it’s New Age. But I’ve beenteaching it from a scriptural standpoint. If everyone couldunderstand and believe what Jesus taught, we would all beoperating into a much more spiritual effectiveness on this earth.Jesus said, “Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thouremoved, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt inhis heart, but believe that those things which he saith shall cometo pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Now what is notscriptural about that? And why do we not experience that? Whydo we, as God’s sons and daughters on this earth, why is it thatwe can say all kinds of things that never come to pass? – Becausewe don’t really have the revelation! Revelation withouttransformation is just information. We and I’m including myself, most of what I say doesn’t come to pass either.God is bringing us a revelation and an understanding of Hispurpose on the earth and there is nothing religious about God’spurpose.4

GOD’S ETERNAL PURPOSEGOD’S ETERNAL PURPOSEChapter 2God’s purposes never have anything to do with outward religionor with us learning a bunch of outward codes of conduct. God’spurposes are solely to infiltrate and incarnate in humanity. Nowthat is the simplest plan of God that you can find. God has onepurpose and I remember that for years I used to seek God andsay, “God what is your purpose for my life?” Because the onlything I knew to do was go to church, read my Bible and pray – andI still do that, because you know they are wonderful things, but Inever knew what my purpose was. I would ask God, “Should I bea missionary, should I go to Africa, shall I teach Sunday school, shall I witness on the streets? God, what is it you want me todo?”Clearly one day I understood what God wanted. “I simply want toincarnate in humanity.” There is nothing at all religious aboutthat. Not only did God want to incarnate in humanity, He did it!When I was born in 1941, God incarnated in humanity, I spentyears living and had no concept of that at all. And so not having atrue concept about who I was, a spiritual being incarnating intohumanity, I was taught that I was a human being born in sin andiniquity, separated and alienated from God.I tried all of my life to be what God wanted me to be, and Icouldn’t make it. I didn’t have the character to make it. But whenI discovered that my true nature, my true being was spirit, then Ijust began to meditate and get into what Jesus taught and my lifebegan to change drastically. We have been predestined, think ofthis, according to the eternal purpose, which He purposed inChrist Jesus, who works all things after the council of His own will.5

GOD’S ETERNAL PURPOSEGod’s purpose, His eternal purpose is incarnation. God wants abody to manifest His wonderful attributes, all of His beauty, all ofHis compassion, all of His magnificent being, He wants to expressin humanity. That is the purpose of God. Now once you reallydiscover that then it no longer concerns you about what’s the willof God for my life, because you already know what it is. Godwants to inhabit, to fully incarnate in your being. And so youfocus all of your being and all of your attention, seeking God for arevelation. Like Paul said, “When it pleased God to reveal His Sonin me”, is when I went forth to preach.once we begin to have an unveiling of being a spiritual being, thenthe will of God for our individual life is really of no concern, because God’s will for you is predestined within your spirit. Andas you spiritually mature, then you will automatically begin tomanifest and begin to flow in whatever God’s will is for your life. You don’t have to think about it; you don’t have to study about it.It just flows from your inner being.I have said for years it is so easy to be a Christian. It is so easy tobe godly. In fact it takes more effort to be ungodly than it does tobe godly, once you understand and have that revelation of God inyou. Yet before we can ever really have much experience as beinga manifestation or an expression of God on this earth, we reallyhave to understand God, because until you really understand Godand really have a revelation of His divine nature and attributes, you will never express your true nature,You will express religious ideas. You will tell the sinner that he ishell-bound, that God is angry with him, that he is separated fromGod and his only hope is to get himself right with God. That iswhat you will tell somebody if you don’t know the true characterof God. But once God begins to be formed in you and you begin to6

GOD’S ETERNAL PURPOSEenter that place in the spirit and experience the unconditional, unfathomable love of God for all of creation is when you begin toaffect everyone around you. It’s an amazing thing.I don’t call anybody a sinner anymore. They may be doing a lot ofbad things but that is not who they are. You could sit sinners in achurch group for years and tell them how sinful they are, tellthem how God is angry with them, tell them how their sinsseparates them from the presence of God and give them no hopeexcept to repent in the religious sense, and change, and you willhelp very few people. If you reveal to them the Gospel of good news of the true natureof their inner being and begin to share with them how that theywere spiritual beings before they ever became physical, and thattheir true nature is a spiritual nature and that all the attributes ofGod that they are searching for in religion are already on theinside of them. When we help people by speaking Life, Light andLove to them instead of Guilt and condemnation it will be mucheasier for them to accept the truth. We are today, a manifestation of God’s Christ on this earth. Thatis God’s purpose to incarnate. When I say the word, “incarnate”, Imean that God wants to fully possess us. And express all of Hisessence and divine beauty. One day I was reading in Hebrewschapter 11, about the men of faith and according to Hebrews 11,those were the guys who never quite made it. It said, “They alllooked for a city, who’s builder and maker was God.” “These alldied in faith, not having received the promises, but having seenthem afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embracedthem, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims onthe earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that theyseek a country.” All, the “patriarchs in the Old Testament”; they7

GOD’S ETERNAL PURPOSEall were looking for that City of God. Now this is a key verse in 15of chapter 11: “And truly, if they had been mindful of thatcountry from whence they came out, they might have had anopportunity to have returned.” You see; they didn’t really knowwhere they came from. One of the greatest revelations God hasbrought to us in recent years is the revelation that we havealways been. And now that we are mindful from that place fromwhere we came, we are going back, not back in the sense oftraveling from this location to that, but going back in theconscious awareness of where we came from; we are consciouslyaware that we came from God living in a heavenly consciousnessand we are returning to that awareness of being in the kingdomnow.God’s purpose according to the Old Testament scriptures was tohave a Kingdom, of priests”. Exodus 10, beginning at verse 4 itsays, “You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bareyou on eagles’ wings, and brought you to myself. Nowtherefore, if you will obey my voice indeed, and keep mycovenant, then you shall be a peculiar treasure unto me aboveall people: for all the earth is mine. And you shall be unto me aKingdom of priests, and a holy nation.”I absolutely love the scriptures because in the scriptures it givesyou the total plan of God, and helps you understand actually whatGod’s purpose is for you. “If you will obey my voice” – How manyof us have ever been taught in Christian churches that we neededto obey the voice of God? What we were told is this: “You betterobey the voice of your leader.” Well, I don’t know about you, butI was in the Christian churches for years, I was raised in theLutheran church and went into Pentecost. I studied Mormonism;I studied some of Jehovah Witness; I looked at World WideChurch or God. I never found anybody that told me that all I8

GOD’S ETERNAL PURPOSEneeded to do was hear the voice of God and obey it. I didn’t knowI could hear the voice of God.Becoming a manifestation or expression of God on the earth is thesimplest act: Hear God’s voice and do what He says. Not what thepreacher says. There are some wonderful preachers but they arenot to control you. A true priest will never control you. “If youwill obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant” What is Hiscovenant? In the Old Testament it was a promise, but in the NewTestament it is fulfilled. “For I will take out your stony heart”that old stubborn stony heart, “I will give you a heart of flesh. Iwill put my Spirit within you, and I will cause you to walk in mystatutes.” That has never changed. “If you will obey my voiceand keep my covenant, you shall be a peculiar treasure unto meabove all the peoples of the earth. Today almost everywhere I go,you will still meet people today who have been seeking God for 30years, and they still say, “I never hear God’s voice.” We reallyhear God all the time. I don’t think anybody doesn’t, but theydon’t recognize it as God. I tell you, God is so one with you thatmany times God will speak to you and you won’t recognize it asGod. I often use this example. When I first realized that I could hear God’s voice I would say,“God, please help me. I don’t know how to hear you.” And soone day I was walking down the street, and I had this strong senseto pick up a piece of paper that was on the street, and I just kindof shrugged it off. Then I just knew that I had missed the voice ofGod.God is so intertwined and so one with us that the natural isbecoming spiritual and the spiritual is becoming natural. The NewCovenant says “I have given you a heart of flesh.” My pastorsalways taught me that my heart was desperately wicked, and I9

GOD’S ETERNAL PURPOSEcouldn’t trust it, so if I believe that then I have to trust them orsomeone else.Carol and I have learned to trust our heart for years. Whateverdesire comes in our hearts, I can trust that, because no longer do Ibelieve that I have a wicked and desperate heart. I believe whatthe scriptures say, that God has given us a new heart of flesh. And God’s desires have become our desires. If God really wantsyou to do something, He is the one that is going to put that desirein you to do it. If you have a religious idea that you should dosomething and yet your desire is nowhere near that, and youdon’t have any sensation at all to do that; you are probablyhearing your mind and not your spirit.A lot of times people have come to me in the past about certainissues, about perhaps thinking about making a move or somethingand they will ask me, “How in the world to I hear God?” And I willalways ask them, “What is it that you want to do? What do youreally feel that you want to do?” And almost all of the time it willbe what God wants if your heart is to serve God.Those of you who are familiar with our ministry, I’ve taught thatfor years, that you have to learn to trust your anointing. 1st John2:27, “The anointing which you have received abides in you. Youdon’t need any man to teach you. For that same anointingteaches you all things.” So people say, “If that is true, what areyou doing out here running all over the world teaching people?”Well I’m teaching them that they don’t need a teacher. But see, that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t listen to teachers. As youngbelievers we need a certain amount of teaching until we begin todiscern the spiritual voice within. What it means is this: When you hear someone speak and youhave a sensation within that that is just not right for me, then that10

GOD’S ETERNAL PURPOSEis not right for you at that time in your spiritual walk but later youmay change your view. When you hear someone speak or youread a book and I don’t care where it came from; if when you readit, it make you feel good; it draws you closer to God; it gives you astronger desire to know God; it helps you to get into forgiveness, whatever that book is, where ever that book comes from, youneed to learn to trust your inner witness. I was told not to readanything from Buddha or any other religious books that were notChristian. That is how you are kept in bondage and darkness. I wastold not to read Walter Lanyon or Joel Goldsmith yet those twomen helped me more than any Christian writer.I found a book on my bookshelf one day called “In His Presence”by E.W. Kenyon. That book literally changed my life. I boughtcases of that book and gave them away, yet Kenyon was called anangel of light by many Christian groups. You need to learn to go by your feelings. Now when I was inPentecost; that is the thing they warned me against. “Don’t go byyour feelings; you have to go by faith.” And I’d say, “Well, doesfaith have any feelings?” There will be a period of time as a newChristian when you won’t always want to trust your feelings, butwe need to start somewhere. There is a verse in Romans 8 thatsays, “To be carnally minded is death, but to be spirituallyminded is life and peace.”Life and peace are emotional feelings. And so when youcontemplate on doing something how does it make you feelinside? If it makes you feel weak or uneasy, that is death. if youare contemplating something and it gives you life and it’srefreshing, that is the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus.11

GOD’S ETERNAL PURPOSEGOD’S ETERNAL PURPOSEChapter 3If we will all begin to sit in his presence and quiet the carnal mindwe will begin to know that voice and when we obey what we hearwe will begin to experience living in the kingdom now.“You shall be unto me kingdom of priests and a holy nation.” Weknow where we came from. We all know somewhat of theMelchisedec priesthood. The Melchisedec priesthood is a peopletoday who have no beginning of days or end of life, as they areministering the bread and the wine. The bread is simply the living, energizing, vibrant spoken Word ofGod, and the wine is the enjoyment of God. So God is raising upon the earth today a corporate man, a corporate priesthood, aholy nation. 1st Peter chapter 2 says, “You also as living stonesare built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer upspiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. Whereforealso it is contained in the scriptur
