Do not use tool while tired orunder the influence of drugs, alcohol,or medication. A moment of inattentionwhile operating the tool may causeserious injury. Avoid prolonged use. The tool’srepetitive motion and vibration cancause harm to your hands or arms. Theuser can use gloves for extra cushion,take frequent breaks and limit daily useto prevent this issue. This tool vibrates with use. Continuousoperation can be harmful to your handsand arms. Stop using the tool if youfeel tingling or pain. Resume work afterrecovery. STOP and repair before using orserious injury could occur.Battery and charger useand care: Only use batteries that are recommend ed for this tool by the manufacturer. Useof any other battery may cause risk ofinjury or fire. When the battery is not in use, keepit away from metal objects that couldconnect one terminal to another. (Such asoutside sheds or metal buildings in thesummer). Only charge the battery with a chargerrecommended by the manufacturer.Use of any other charger may cause riskof injury or fire. Do not use chargers for anything otherthan charging manufacturer recom mended batteries, otherwise electricshock could occur. Do not expose the charger to rain orsnow. Make sure the charger’s cord is inan area where it will not be damaged. Extension cords should not be usedunless necessary. Improper use of anextension cord can result in electricshock. Do not place an object on top of thecharger. This could block ventilationslots and cause excessive internal heat. Do not use the charger if it has beensubjected to a hard blow, has beendropped, or damaged otherwise. Takethe charger to an authorized repaircentre. Do not disassemble the charger. If thecharger needs to be repaired take it toan authorized repair centre. Before cleaning the charger make sureto unplug it from any power source.This will reduce the risk of an electricalshock.Tool service: Only use accessories that are identifiedby the manufacturer for the specific toolmodel. Variable speed triggerForward/reverse switchThe variable speed trigger (6) delivers higherspeed with increased trigger pressure andlower speed with decreased trigger pressure.To turn on the tool, depress the trigger. To turnit off, release the trigger and allow the tool tocome to a complete stop.Set the forward/reverse switch (9) in the OFF(Centre lock) position to lock the trigger andhelp prevent accidental starting when not inuse.LED lightPush the forward/reverse switch (9) to the leftof the trigger for forward operation. Push theswitch to the right to reverse the direction.The tool will not run unless the direction ofrotation switch is pushed fully to the left or right.The LED light (7) will illuminate when thetrigger is depressed. Installing and removing drill bitTurn the chuck sleeve (4) counterclockwise (asviewed from the front) to open the chuck jaws.Place the driver/ drill bit into the chuck as faras it goes. Turn the sleeve clockwise to tightenthe chuck.To remove the bit, turn the chuck sleeveclockwise to release.Caution: Do not touch a drill bit just afteruse as it is likely to be very hot.Speed selector12Select low speed (1) forapplications requiringhigher power and torquesuch as screws drivingand drilling in metal.Select high speed (2) forfasting drilling or drivingsuch as drilling in woodor masonry.The speed of the drill can be changed forvarious applications. Press the speed selector(1) button to change to the desired speed.Never change the speed while the tool is running. Charging the batteryTo charge the battery, line up the slot of thebattery with the slot of the charger and slideinto place. The charger is sold separately.The battery indicator light should turn fromgreen to red when the battery is charging.When the indicator light has turned green thebattery should be fully charged.Battery state of charge indicatorThe state of charge of the battery can betested by pressing the button. Attaching the belt clipThe belt clip (8) may be installed on either sideof the tool.To install, insert the clip into the groove in thehousing and fasten it with screw.To remove, simple remove the screw and thenremove the belt clip.WARNING:Allow battery to cool down before charging if the battery is hot after continuous use.BATTERYAll batteries wear out over time due to normal wear and tear. Do not attempt to disassemble andrepair the battery, as this could cause serious burns especially when wearing rings and jewellery.For the longest possible battery life, we suggest the following: Remove the battery from the charger once fully charged. Store the battery away from moisture and at a temperature below 80 F. Store the battery with at least a 30% - 50% charge.
