Stuffing boxThe box is packed with graphite impregnated Teflon toreduce resistance and prolong the life of the shaft sleeve.33. Shaft tubeShaft tubes protect shafts from the pumped fluid and provide a passage for bearing lubrication. Intermediate couplingThis solid sleeve provides a rigid transmission of power andtorque through the shafts.
