Measure 2” in from each side and drawn a line.2. Attach Applique foot to machine.3. Thread machine and bobbin with red embroidery thread.4. Applique Heart1. Trace the heart onto the 6” x 6” red fabric.2. Attach Applique foot to machine.3. Insert #100 top stitch needle into machine.4. Thread machine with 30wt pink thread. Use red or pink embroidery thread inbobbin.5. Draw a line down the center of the heart.6. Category Quilt Line #414length 16.8. Sew this down the drawn line.7. Continue sewing this stitch beside the previous stitches until the entire heart isfilled with stitches.8. Place the 6” x 6” fusible web on the wrong side of the fabric making sure thefusible web covers the heart. Iron fusible web down. Cut out the heart.9. Place the heart in the center of the fabric front. Iron down.10. Thread machine and bobbin with red thread.11. Attach Open Toe Presser foot to machine.12. Select Applique stitch. Fringe Border1. Draw a box around the heart. Option, round the corners to make turningeasier.2. Thread machine with 30wt pink thread or regular weight red embroiderythread. Note: If using 30wt thread, insert #100 top stitch needle.3. Use regular weight pink or red thread in the bobbin.4. Attach Fringe foot to machine.5. Select zig zag stitch length 0.3 - 0.4 width – between 6 – 7.6. Align foot with the guide in the center of foot with the drawn line.7. Sew slowly around the entire design. When you come to the end, sew over theprevious stitching a couple of stitches and then tie ithjuki.com

Putting It All Together1. Cut the 15” x 21” backing fabric in half.2. Turn under one edge on each piece ¼” and press. Turn this edge under ¼” againand press.3. Thread machine and bobbin with red thread.4. Attach regular presser foot to machine. Select straight stitch.5. Sew the hem down.6. Lay the backing pieces on the front (right sides together). The back pieces willoverlap each other to form the envelope back.7. Pin in place. Option – round the corners for a softer look.8. Sew around the entire piece using a ½” seam allowance. Clip corners9.
