Properly focus the binocularACCESSORIESFor the best reults, follow this two-step process to properlyadjust the center focus and diopter. Choose an object about20 yards away and stay in the same spot until you haveadjusted the binocular for your eyes.Carry Case1. Adjust the center focus—start byclosing your right eye or coveringthe right objective lens with yourhand. Focus your left eye on theobject and adjust the center focuswheel until the image is in focus.Leave the center focus in thisposition as you adjust the diopter.The Diamondback comes with a rainguard for the ocularlenses and tethered objective lens covers. Use these coversto protect the lenses whenever you are not using yourbinocular.2. Adjust the diopter—start by closing your left eye orcovering the left objective lens with your hand. Lookthrough your right eye and adjust the diopter ring (foundon the right eyepiece) until theobject is in focus. Make note of thisdiopter setting in case you needto set it again. From this point on,you will only need to use the centerfocus wheel.The Diamondback’s protective case provides safe storagebetween viewing sessions.Lens CoversNeck StrapAttach the padded neck strap to the Diamondback in thesethree simple steps.1. Push a fewinches of the strapthrough the strapattachment on thebinocular.2. Hold the buckleand thread the end ofthe strap through thebuckle.3. Adjust theoverall length, thenpull the strap tightuntil it’s securedwithin the buckle.Note: If using another type of strap, never attach metal o-rings directlyonto the strap attachment.45

Store theDiamondback in the carry case between viewing sessions.Keep lenses cleanIn order to enjoy the best views through your Diamondbackbinocular, take time to regularly clean the exterior lenses:1. Remove any dust or grit from lenses before wiping. Use a canof pressurized air, soft camel hair brush, or an acrylic opticalbrush.2. Clear lenses of smudges, fingerprints, or oil. Fog the lenseswith your breath, then use a non-abrasive lens cloth to cleanthe lenses.Note: Use lens cleaning fluid andoptical paper to clean lenses.Never use facial tissue, heavycotton, or flannel clothing onlenses—these materials canscratch the surface of a lens.Caution: Binoculars are not intended for looking at the sun, or anyother intense light source.
