Your interaction with the exercises will have a stronginfluence on your performance in the classroom (quizzes, exams, compositions, etc.). Some activities requireyou to listen to audio recordings, found on Blackboard through Sharestream. For the Cuaderno, there aretwo types of questions: closed-ended questions and open-ended questions. Most of the exercises are closed-ended exercises and have the answers at the back of the Cuaderno. You arerequired to correct your homework with a red ink pen after consulting the answer keys at the back of theCuaderno. Failure to follow this procedure will result in a lower grade assigned to your work. How to take advantage of your time when studying:1) Study the Lengua pages from ¡Avance! listed on the syllabus.2) Do the corresponding Cuaderno exercises to the grammatical point(s) you just studied in the textbook.3) Check the answers in the back of the Cuaderno to evaluate how you have performed.4) Use a red ink pen to correct your answers. In this way, you can easily identify grammatical problemsearly and seek assistance from your instructor. (Copying the answers directly from the back withoutany interaction with the material will obviously not benefit you). This preparation will help you to better understand class discussion, feel more confident, and quicklydetermine what you need to study in more detail. You are expected to complete ALL the exercises identified below in the Cuaderno, including the listeningactivities. Turn in (Entregar) these activities on the days identified in the syllabus as Entregar CP#. We will

go over some (not all) of those activities in class -the syllabus specifies the dates that we will go over(Revisar CP) them in class.
