Cautions and WarningsMake sure the firearm is unloaded before mounting the optic. Do notlook through the sight directly into the sun, light arcs, or other veryhigh-intensity light sources. Keep away from children.Remove dirt by blowing it off or use a very soft lens brush. Use lenscleaning tissues on the optical surfaces.Battery InstallationThe FastFire 2 operates with one commercially available 3V Lithiumbattery (CR2023). Do not attempt to substitute two CR2016 batteries. To insert or replace the battery, turn the FastFire 2 upside down. Ifremoving a battery, place the wrench or screwdriver into the notchand pry the battery loose. Insert the newbattery into the receptacle located on theunderside of the housing oriented so thatthe positive pole on the battery label isvisible. A magnet draws the battery ontothe contact plate. Keep the contact surfaceclean, cleaning with alcohol if necessary.Power-Saving ModeTo save power, simply turn the ON/OFFswitch to OFF.3

InstallationInstallation on most rifles, carbines, and some handguns requires the includedPicatinny/ Weaver Mounting Plate. Most other handguns, shotguns and riflesrequire a different mounting plate. Install battery in the Fastfire II and place the Sighton the Gasket Plate so that the screw holes in it also align. Install the two#6-48 Screws and tighten to 12 inch pounds. Loosen the Clamp Nut on themount. Place the mount on the Railwith the Cross Screw located in thedesired slot. Check to be sure all theclamping edges are engaged. Keepa little pressure on the sight towardthe muzzle as you tighten the ClampNut to approximately 20 in.-lbs.4

Operating ProcedureElevation and Windage AdjustmentThere are separate adjustment controls forelevation and windage: elevation is on the topof the sight, and windage is on the right side.Loosen the two LOCK screws counter clockwise1/2 turn each using the provided screwdriver.Turn the slotted “UP” or “LEFT” screws with theprovided adjusting disc and screwdriver. The windage adjustmentmechanism has limit stops at both ends.Note that the elevation adjustment downward stop is availableonly when the unit is installed on a mounting plate. Screwing eitheradjustment into a stop will lock motion of the other adjustment.Zeroing the Point-of-ImpactAdjust point-of-impact by using the provided scale disc with integratedscrewdriver.Put the scale disc onto theelevation or windage adjustmentscrews using any edge on the sightas the reference line. The scale discallows defined elevation and windageadjustment in both directions ofrotation. The direction of the shift ofthe point-of-impact is indicated onthe FastFire 2 sight and on the scaledisc.5

One scale division of this disc (or tick mark)corresponds to 1 minute of angle (MOA),or approximately 1 inch at 100 yards. Forother distances, this value is proportional, forexample: .5 inch at 50 yards or 0.1 inch at 10yards. Before shooting, make sure to tightenthe lock screws on the rear of the FastFire 2with the provided screwdriver, making surenot to over-tighten.Integrated Control ElectronicsThe integrated control circuit adjusts the brightness of the aiming dotaccording to surrounding light levels. The brightness sensor on the front of the sight senses the light levelin the direction of the target and modifies the intensity of the dotaccordingly so that it is not overpowering in low light while remaininghighly visible in bright daylight.Be careful not to obstruct the sensor. Clean if necessary. Covering thesensor with your finger will affect the electronics only slightly. If youwish to check its function, cover the sensor with the protective cover. To ensure immediate functionality, the light-emitting diode remainson even in complete darkness but uses such a small amount of energythat you can expect a service life of up to 4 years.Ambient ConditionsThe FastFire 2 is water-resistant and is usable even after beingaccidentally submerged. However, after exposure to salty or dirtywater, it is advisable to rinse with distilled water and dry the sight, aswith any quality optical equipment.6
