INFORMATIONBRAKING SYSTEMSlave CylinderThe braking system is a critical component of any vehicle andliterally controls the safety of drivers, passengers, and anyone elsesharing the road. The tubing which carries the braking fluid betweenthe master cylinder and the slave cylinders at the wheels is a vitalpart of this system. This tubing is extremely susceptible to thehigh-pressure it must handle (during braking) and the environment(adverse weather, road treatments, and road debris) to which it iscontinuously exposed.AGS lines and coils are made of the most advanced materials andprocesses available today. Our tubing construction and coatingsallow for the most workable, corrosion resistant, and safest productpossible. In addition, the quality of the flares (end-forms) and tubenuts of all AGS lines meet and exceed standards for the best sealpossible. While the vast majority of vehicles utilize 3/16", 1/4", or6mm diameter tubing for brake applications, all AGS lines offer thesame advanced construction and technology. For a completeexplanation of the braking system go to www.agscompany.com.Master CylinderBrake LineBRAKE, FUEL, & TRANSMISSION TUBING SPECIFICATIONSO.D.Yield Strength(0.2% offset)TensileStrength3/16" (4.76mm)1/4" (6.35mm)5/16" (8.00mm)3/8" (9.53mm)6mm (.236")3/16" (4.76mm)1/4" (6.35mm)5/16" (8.00mm)3/8" (9.53mm)24,656 PSI24,656 PSI24,656 PSI24,656 PSI24,656 PSI15,229 PSI15,229 PSI15,229 PSI15,229 PSI42,061 PSI42,061 PSI42,061 PSI42,061 PSI42,061 PSI39,885 PSI39,885 PSI39,885 PSI39,885 PSIExampleSizeBL-308 or PA-308BL-408 or PA-408BL-508 or PA-508BL-608 or PA-608BL-708 or PA-708CNC-325CNC-425CNC-525CNC-625300 Series400 Series500 Series600 Series700 Series300 CN Series400 CN Series500 CN Series600 CN SeriesWorkingPressure4,500 PSI3,000 PSI2,300 PSI1,800 PSI3,300 PSI4,200 PSI2,900 PSI2,100 PSI1,700 PSIBurstPressure17,900 PSI12,100 PSI9,200 PSI7,400 PSI13,100 PSI17,000 PSI11,500 PSI8,700 PSI7,000 PSIAll AGS tubing conforms to the following: Wall thickness .028 (.70mm) Elongation in 2" (50mm) 14% Hardness (Rockwell 30T Scale): 65 Clean finish inside and out Leak and vibration resistance Specifications:SAE J527bDIN 74234SAE J1290ISO 4038SAE J1650GM123MASTM A254* Working and burst pressures calculated using the conservative Barlow’s Formula.
