Enrolment generally takes place during Augustfor courses starting in September. However some short courses start throughout the year andother enrolment sessions are organised.PAYING YOURSELF? – 24 AdvancedLearning Loans availableYou can apply for a 24 Advanced LearningLoan to help with the costs of a collegeor training course if you’re 24 or older.The course must be a Level 3 or 4 courseincluding QCF Certificates and Diplomas andAccess to HE.The loan doesn’t depend on your incomeand there are no credit checks. You can getindependent money advice from the MoneyAdvice Service (MAS). If you don’t take outthe loan, you will be expected to pay thecourse fees yourself.Loans (plus interest) have to be paid back butrepayments don’t start until April 2017 andyou won’t have to pay anything back untilyou earn more than 21,000 a year.
