SeeRemote Keyless Entry (RKE)System Operation on page 2‑2.Press the touch pad on theunderside of the liftgate handle (B)and lift up.Use the pull cup to lower and closethe liftgate. Do not press the touchpad while closing the liftgate. Thiswill cause the liftgate to beunlatched.Power Liftgate OperationThere are several ways to open andclose the power liftgate:.Press and hold 8 on the RKEtransmitter until the liftgate startsmoving.Press 8 on the overheadconsole.Press l on the bottom of theliftgate next to the latch to close.WindowsPressing a second time while theliftgate is moving reverses thedirection.To disable the power liftgatefunction, press OFF on the liftgateswitch. See Liftgate on page 2‑9.On vehicles with a power liftgate,the switch is on the overheadconsole.LiftglassThe vehicle must be in P (Park) touse the power feature. The taillampswill flash and a chime will soundwhen the power liftgate moves.If equipped, there are two ways toopen the liftglass:.Press the button on theunderside of the license plateapplique (A).Press m on the RKEtransmitter.The driver door has switches thatcontrol all windows; the passengerdoor switch only controls thatwindow. The power windows workwhen the ignition is in ON/RUN orACC/ACCESSORY, or in RetainedAccessory Power (RAP). SeeRetained Accessory Power (RAP)on page 9‑24.Press the switch to lower thewindow. They turn off afterall the doors are closed.The control used to adjust thepedals is located on the instrumentpanel below the climate controlsystem.Dome LampsThe dome lamps can also be turnedon by turning the instrument panelbrightness knob, located on theinstrument panel to the left of thesteering column, clockwise to thefarthest position. In this position, thedome lamps remain on whether adoor is opened or closed.k : Press the button in and thedome lamps remain off when a dooris opened.
