ApplicationsMedicalAs the leading supplierof fluoropolymer tubingin the medical devicemarket, ZEUS is adaptedto servicing a wide rangeof customer needs. Weare experienced atworking with all of theorganizational elementsof a medical device manufacturer. To assistthese specialized requests we establisheda medical department within our salesforce and staffed it with highly-trainedand medical device oriented TechnicalAccount Manager. ZEUS is a true pioneer ofhigh performance plastics in this industry. For the R&D engineer working on anew innovative product we offer quickturnaround, technical support, and freesamples for prototyping. We work withproductionengineers tohelp improveyields andthroughput.Regulatoryspecialistsappreciate our quality systems and USPClass VI certified polymers. Purchasing4agents appreciate our stocking programsand the level of service and delivery weoffer the industry. We offer a true crossfunctional relationship to our customers. On the materials side, we offer a widerange of fluoropolymers and specializedplastics with a history of success in medicaldevice applications. Many of our extruded, heat shrink, and multilumen tubes have beenchosen for their pure, smooth, non-toxic, nonallergenic properties, aswell as their compatibilitywith human tissues andfluids. Most of what we manufacture forthe medical device industry is extremelytight toleranced tubing. With our staff ofskilled polymer experts and 45 years ofextrusion experience we are experts atcustomizing the properties of our polymersthrough process and material modificationtechnologies.

ApplicationsIndustrialWith more than 438,000 sq ft. ofmanufacturing space ZEUS is ready tomeet the challenges of the industrialmarkets. We have a strong workingknowledge of a multitude of industries, including: automotive, chemical processing, electronic, aerospace and defense, fiberoptics, environmental and analytical. Weunderstand that new products and materialenhancements are critical for our customersto remain competitive and successful. ZEUSoffers a widevariety of standardand specializedproducts to meetyour needs. ZEUS’knowledgeableTechnical AccountManagers are standing by to help youdesign the product you need.Fluid HandlingThe demand for fluoropolymertubing in fluid applications continues toincrease as requirements become morespecific. With ID from .002” up to 2.0”,ZEUS’ line of chemically resistant extrusionswithstands corrosive fluids like sulfuric acid, hydrocarbon fuels and strong mineral acids.High purityresins are used toextrude tubing withthe lowest levelsof extractablesand the smoothestsurface finish foruse in semiconductor and pharmaceuticalapplications. FEP Lined Polyethylene tubingfor environmental applications and PEEK tubing for analytical applications are afew of the specialty markets served. FEP,PFA and MFA tubing support applicationsranging from laboratory plumbing, foodprocessing and adhesive transfer systems tofuel, paint and hydraulic lines.Increasing barrierproperties creates tubingwith the lowest water vaportransmission rates of anyplastic. This is an exampleof the advances ZEUS hasmade to remain a leader inhighly engineered extrusions. As new applicationsdevelop the need for ourexceptional polymer product line increasessignificantly.5

ApplicationsIndustrialElectrical/MechanicalZEUS has thebroadest productline of fluoropolymertubing used forapplicationsdemandingunsurpassedmechanical properties. The low friction, light weight and high temperaturecharacteristics of fluoropolymer tubingare applied in applications where otherplastics would fail. ZEUS tubing has metor exceeded the critical environments inaviation programsworldwide. Someof these productsinclude AWG tubingand heat shrinkabletubing for insulation,in addition to spiralcut cable wrap andconvoluted tubing for wire harnesses andcable assemblies.6A few examples of the wide array ofelectrical applications includes microwarecable insulation featuring extrusions directlyover wire, connector and terminal sleeves, fiber optic cable jacketing, hermetic motorinsulation and battery pack and capacitorencapsulation.Mechanical applications are not limitedto the industry standard materials. Chemicalmodifiers are usedfor enhancedpush-pull cablejacketing, waferthin s, tire valve seals and chafe guards. To extend the life of many components,ZEUS also supplies a wide range of heatshrinkable extrusions that have becomean effective means of applying a tightjacketing that stands up to the hostileenvironments of heat, abrasion and shock.

ZEUSHeat Shrink Fluoropolymer TubingZEUS heat shrink tubing offers a uniquecombination of properties in itstubing, including outstandingelectrical characteristics;excellent chemical andsolvent resistances; purity;lubricity and outstandingperformance reliability.ZEUS has masteredthe art of manufacturingfluoropolymer heat shrink tubing and cansupply it with recovered walls as thin as .002”.Please contact a ZEUS representative to learnmore about customer sizes, packaging, lengthsand colors.Heat Shrink Application Tips1. Always assure good ventilation in theimmediate work area prior to beginning theheat shrinking process.Caution: Fumes may cause nausea anddizziness.2. The mandrel to be covered by the heatshrink must be able to withstand therequired temperature for material recovery(see table at right).3. The mandrel being covered may act asa heat sink (especially metal mandrels). Therefore, ZEUS recommends preheatingmandrels.4. Heat shrink should be allowed to recovera minimum of 20%. Highly restricted radialrecovery tends to induce longitudinalchange and increase the tendency forsplitting.245. Ovens are the most reliable way to recoverheat shrink products due to their ability toensure even heating and reduce the riskof over heating the material which canlead to brittleness and cracking. If a heatgun will be used please refer to the pictureabove illustrating the proper application ofheat to achieve the most uniform recovery.6. See Chart for recovery temperatures.HEAT SHRINK RECOVERYTEMPERATUREMaterialRecovery TemperaturePTFE654 F - 670 F346 C - 354 CFEP (1” ID or less)400 F - 420 F204 C - 216 CFEP (1” ID or greater)420 F - 440 F216 C - 227 CThe heat shrink temperatures listed in thiscatalog are general guidelines. Actualshrink temperatures may be higher or lowerdepending on the design and dimensions ofthe heat shrink, application techniques andother factors. Please

Olympians gained their supremacy in the world of gods after Zeus led his siblings to victory in war with the Titans; Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Demeter, Hestia, and Hades were siblings; all other Olympians (with the exception of foam-born Aphrodite) are usually considered the children of Zeus by various mothers, except for Athena,

Hera Now these gods reigned for some three thousand years. There were many of them, but twelve chief ones. Zeus married his sister Hera — a: family habit. They were always quarreling. He angered her by his infidelities; she enraged him with her strategies. She was the queen of intriguers, and always found it easy to outwit Zeus who was
