The signs areconsistent with breast cancer.A two shot of LISA and PETE, reeling. The CONSULTANT continues talking -Time seems to slow.CONSULTANT (CONT’D)Obviously we’re hoping that it’slow grade. We’ll do a needle biopsytoday and that will tell us moreabout what we’re dealing with, whether it’s invasive or noninvasive. If the cancer isinvasive, you may need a course ofchemotherapy and radiotherapy, butin either case, because of the sizeof the lump we’ll need to start byoperating to remove the breast. It’s a lot to take in, but ifthere’s one thing to retain fromwhat I’m telling you it’s that thetreatment of cancer and inparticular breast cancer has comeon leaps and bounds and survivalrates have improved enormously.- but from LISA and PETE’s POV it’s mostly just lips moving a high-pitched whine drowns out what he says.
