The finer points ofstacking and packingHow to package used tiles for shipment to Armstrong Be sure your project is approved by the RecyclingCenter before you begin removal of the ceilings. Areturn authorization will be issued on your project. No wood, metal, construction waste, or hazardousmaterial of any kind may be included. Stack tiles on 4' x 4' shipping pallets with bottomslats. Stack 4' or 6' tall. Make sure the pallets aresturdy enough to handle the load. Secure tiles onpallets with stretch wrap or metal bands. Label each pallet per Armstrong returnauthorization requirements. All tiles should be straight on pallets and securedwithin the trailer to prevent loads from fallingduring transit or when unloading pallets. Materialmust be tightly stretch-wrapped and the bandingsecure so that pallets remain stable. Load locksmay be necessary in the trailer. If you have special loading or removalcircumstances, please contact your Armstrongrepresentative or call 1 877 276 7876 (pressoption 1, then 8). We will be as flexible as possibleto accommodate your project needs.Amount of material needed for recycling Fulltruckload – We’ll pick up full truckloads of old ceilings to be recycled at no chargeto you. We will pay freight costs for truckloads over 30,000 sq. ft., anywhere in thecontinental USA, and some places in Canada. Lessthan 30,000 sq. ft. – For less-than-full truckloads, you can locate a certified recycling contractor ora consolidator close to you using our local resource lookup option on our website, or call our RecyclingCenter at 1 877 276 7876 (press option 1, then 8).
