CPI /A-LOK Tube FittingsIntroductionTorqueParker CPI /A-LOK Instrumentation Tube Fittings are designedas leak-free connections for process, power and instrumentationapplications. These single and two ferrule fittings are manufactured to the highest quality standards and are available in abroad range of sizes, materials and configurations.Parker CPI /A-LOK tube fittings do not twist the tubing during installation. CPI /A-LOK ferrule designs assure that allmake and remake motion is transmitted axially to the tubing.Since no radial movement of the tubing occurs, the tubing isnot stressed. The mechanical integrity of the tubing is maintained.FeaturesNo DistortionThe Parker CPI /A-LOK tube fitting has been specificallydesigned for use on instrumentation, process and controlsystems, analysers and environmental equipment employedin chemical, petroleum, power generating and pulp and paperplants. The CPI /A-LOK tube fitting has also found extensive application in other fields where a high quality tube fittingis required.In make-up, there is no undue force in an outward directionto distort the fitting body or ferrules to cause interferencebetween the ferrules and nut. This assures that the nut willback-off freely for disassembly and permits a greater numberof easy remakes.SealingMaterialsPositive, reliable connections with Parker CPI /A-LOK fittings have been qualified by exhaustive tests and over fourdecades of experience in the manufacture of quality tube fittings.Parker CPI /A-LOK fittings are available as standard inHeat Code Traceable, 316 stainless steel. Other standardmaterials include steel, brass, aluminum, nickel-copper,Hastelloy C , Alloy 600, Titanium, 6Mo, Incoloy 625 and 825.Straight fittings are machined from cold finished bar stockand shaped bodies are machined from close grain forgings.The raw materials used fully conform to the chemical requirements listed in Specification Table 1. For nuclear and othercritical applications, stainless steel CPI /A-LOK fittings arereadily available with documented heat code traceability.NomenclatureParker CPI /A-LOK fittings part numbers are constructedfrom symbols that identify the size and style of the fitting andmaterial used.Assembly, Remake, GaugeabilityProper assembly is the key component to a leak-freesystem. CPI /A-LOK tube fitting assembly, remake andgaugeability instructions are found on page 74 of thiscatalog.Pipe Fittings/AdaptersParker CPI /A-LOK tube fittings are available in a widevariety of ISO and ANSI pipe thread configurations. CPI /A-LOK seals equally well on both thin walland heavy wall tubing. Tubing and fitting materials shouldbe selected to be compatible with the fluid media.
