ALSIP PARK DISTRICTPLANT A LIVING TREE MEMORIALPURPOSE TO ALLOW ALSIP RESIDENTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO HONOR AND/ ORMEMORIALIZE RELATIVES AND/OR FRIENDS WITH THE PLANTINGOF A TREE IN A PARK DISTRICT PARK. TO ASSIST THE ALSIP PARK DISTRICT WITH THE PROCUREMENT OFNEW TREES PROVIDING YEARS OF SHADE, BEAUTIFICATION ANDENVIRONMENTAL BENEFITS. CRITERIATHE ALSIP PARK DISTRICT SHALL IDENTIFY PARKS AND GENERALLOCATIONS IN EACH PARK WHERE TREES MAY BE PLANTED.CONSIDERATION WILL BE MADE TO ACCOMMODATE LOCATIONREQUESTS FROM THE DONOR. TREES SHALL BE PLANTED AND MAINTAINED BY THE ALSIP PARKDISTRICT OR THEIR DESIGNATED AGENT. MAINTENANCE OFTREES SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH PARK PROCEDURE ONTREE MAINTENANCE. DONORS MAY, AT THEIR EXPENSE,PROVIDE MAINTENANCE ASSISTANCE. THE TREES SHALL BE PLANTED AT THE APPROPRIATE PLANTINGSEASON. THE DONOR MAY ASSIST THE ALSIP PARK DISTRICT WITH THESELECTION OF THE TREE, HOWEVER, THE FINAL DECISION SHALLBE THE ALSIP PARK DISTRICT’S. THE DONOR MAY BE PRESENT AT TIME THE TREE IS PLANTED. MEMORIAL MARKERS MAY NOT BE PLACED AT THE BASE OR ONTHE TREE. TREES VANDALIZED OR DESTROYED BY NATURAL CAUSES MAY BEREPLACED BY THE ALSIP PARK DISTRICT ON AN AS CAN BASIS.REPLACEMENT TREES WILL NOT BE THE SAME SIZE AS THETREE’S MOST CURRENT SIZE. MINIMUM SIZE OF TREES SHALL BE A MINIMUM TWO INCHCALIPHER. DONOR MAY SELECT TO CONTRIBUTE ADDITIONALFUNDING FOR A LARGER TREE.

ALL TREES BECOME THE PROPERTY OF THE ALSIP PARK DISTRICT. PRICE OF THE TREES WILL FLUCTUATE ACCORDING TO MARKETCONDITIONS. IT IS ANTICIPATED THAT THE COST AT THIS TIMEWILL NOT EXCEED 250.00 PER TREE. RECOGNITION DONORS WILL RECEIVE A LETTER FROM THE ALSIP PARK DISTRICTTHANKING THEM FOR DONATING A TREE. AT THE DONORSREQUEST, THE DISTRICT WILL BE PLEASED TO SEND A LETTERACKNOWLEDGING THE DONATION TO PERSONS BEING RECOGNIZEDOR FAMILIES OF THE DECEASED.
