The music you choose for your ceremony is one of the mostpersonalised elements of that part of your wedding day and we have many options for youto choose from. Organ only (included in standard service rate)Choir of 10 children with organ plus director ( 1300)Choir of 10 adults with organ plus director ( 2600)Choir of 4-6 adults with organ plus director ( 500 - 700)Solo soprano with organ ( 250)You can choose different music for different parts of your ceremony: Processional - as the bridesmaids and bride enter the cathedral Psalm (optional) During the Signing of the Register Blessing (optional) Recessional - as the newlyweds and their wedding party exit the cathedralYou may also choose some hymns but we recommend that you only have hymns if most ofyour guests are regular church goers and will know the tune and sing out. Otherwise youmight find it’s just you and the celebrant singing!While there is some flexibility in music choice, the following pages list the music that candefinitely be performed on your wedding day. Please note that the links included are torecordings by various choirs so the live sound in the cathedral will not be exactly the sameas these recordings. There are many other recordings of these pieces but the ones listed hereare chosen as the best versions available at the moment on YouTube.Also listed are the royal weddings that have featured this music, so you can feel just like aprincess walking down the aisle!Use of recorded music is permitted with permission from the Celebrant or Director ofMusic, however it may be an infringement of copyright to broadcast professionally recordedmusic in any public arena without a licence which includes all Christian wedding services.Recorded music with a sung text must be God-related, regardless of whether it’s during theservice or before or after. Instrumental versions of secular songs are often available whichexclude the sung texts.
