Print the cover for your lapbook:Glue it to the front of the two side flaps. (I glue the page to one side, then use the edge of the filefolder as a guide to cut on).Then to make it fit into your Geography 3 ring binder, use some packing tape. Run thepacking tape down the outside of the left side of the Lapbook. Fold it over onto itself, so thatabout 1/2 of tape is sticking to itself, and the rest to the lapbook. Yellowstone National Park islocated mostly in Wyoming, butoverlaps with Montana andIdaho. It was the first nationalpark in the world. It’s located ontop of Yellowstone Caldera, anactive volcano.There is an abundance of wildlife atYellowstone. There are 67 species ofmammals, 330 species of birds, 16species of fish, 4 species of amphibians and 6 species of reptiles.Old Faithful is a geyser , whichis where water and steam isshot upwards into the air dueto geothermal boilingunderground.The Great Salt Lake isin Utah, and is the biggestsalt water lake in the US. It coversabout 1,700 square miles. Salt LakeCity is to the southeast of the lake,and the Bonneville Salt Flats are to the west.The Great Salt Lake is fed by three major rivers and several smaller streams.Devil’s Tower is located in Wyoming. It is made ofigneous rock which was formed underground. Thearea around Devil’s peak is sedimentary rock and wasmore easily washed away by rain over time leavingDevil’s Peak exposed. It is 5,114 ft high and was declared a US National monument in 1906 by PresidentRoosevelt.
