The GED Test Battery consists of five subtests in thefollowing subject areas:LanguageArts –WritingLanguageArts ReadingScienceSocialStudiesMathematicsStudents must earn a minimum total score of 2250 on the GED Test Battery to earn an HSEDiploma. It is recommended that students who are referred for testing should earn a score of 2500on the Official GED Practice Test or the equivalent readiness test score for the TASC.17

Students who are 16-21 years of age ;Students must complete the school year in which they turned 16, or such older maximum compulsoryage as the board of education of the school district may require for school attendanceIf a student who has dropped out of school wants to enroll in an AHSEP Program,they must have district approval & are transferred to the AHSEP ProgramTo determine eligibility, a formula is used that factors in the number of units of credit required by theschool district for a local diploma, the number of years the student has been in grades 9-12,and the number of units of credit the student earned.19
