4Forced oil recovery is implemented onlyif oil levels become insufficient in spite ofabove measures. The Panasonic system’sdesign concept is radically different fromconventional oil systems.STAGE-3If oil levels in all compressors within theoutdoor unit fall, oil can be replenishedfrom adjacent outdoor units.STAGE-2Panasonic compressors are equipped withsensors which monitor oil levels preciselyat all times. If oil levels fall, oil can betransferred from other compressors withinthe same outdoor unit.STAGE-1The Panasonic system efficiently manages oil recovery in three stages; minimisingthe frequency of forced oil recovery while reducing energy cost and maintaining comfort.In a VRF system, where lengthy piping and a large number of indoor units need to be controlled collectively,the key to maintaining the system’s reliability is to ensure an appropriate amount of oil is secured in thecompressors.
