What Classes Will You Take?All students will be enrolled into: Academic Block (English & History) Science Math 8 PE Elective

MATH PLACEMENT All 8th Graders will be in Math 8 or AdvancedMath 8 If you are a 7th grader currently in Advanced Math7 with a B or higher and pass the Adv Math 8placement test, then you will be you enrolled inAdv. Math 8 (behavior, attendance, workcompletion, and other considerations may bemade). If you are a 7th grader currently in Math 7 you willbe placed in Math 8

Science PLACEMENT All 8th Graders will be in a General ScienceClass or an Honors Science Class If you are a 7th grader currently in GeneralScience 7 you will be placed in GeneralScience 8 If you are a 7th grader currently in AdvancedScience with a B or higher, and pass the Adv Science 8placement test, then you will be you enrolled inBiology (behavior, attendance, work completion,and other considerations may be made). with a C, poor attendance or work completion,and are not successful on the Adv. Science 8placement test, you will be enrolled in HonorsScience 8, or General Science 8 depending onthose other factors (behavior, attendance, etc. )

AB PLACEMENT All8th Graders will be an AcademicBlock Class (English & History) Apply to take Honors AB next year. Need Overall 3.5 GPA Good Attendance An A 1st Semester in English and History Current AB Teacher Recommendation Complete Honors AB Application Online

Specialized PE Classes Strength and Conditioning PE- This class is designedfor Student Athletes or Students interested in Strengthand Conditioning Training, via weightlifting. X-Country PE- Students who are running for theKastner X-Country Team Football/Basketball PE- Students who are participatingin Kastners Football or Basketball Programs PE Dance- Cheer PE is for anyone who is on the KastnerPep and Cheer Team.All specialty PE’s still participate in PE Units & PETesting, still run the mile and play other sports.
