The funds on holdwill be subtracted from your Available Balance. We can place an Authorization Hold on your Account for upto 3 business days (or for up to 30 business days at the bank’sdiscretion for certain types of debit Card transactions, includingbut not limited to, international car rental and hotel), from thetime of the authorization or until the transaction is paid fromyour Account. However, if the merchant does not submit thetransaction for payment within the time allowed, we will releasethe Authorization Hold. This means your Available Balance willincrease until the transaction is submitted for payment by themerchant and posted to your Account. If this happens, we musthonor the prior authorization, and we will pay the transactionfrom your Account. In some situations, the amount of thehold may differ from the actual transaction amount since themerchant may not know the total amount you will spend. Forexample, a restaurant submits the authorization request for yourmeal before you add a tip.Note: You might end up overdrawing the Account eventhough the Available Balance appears to show there aresufficient funds to cover your transaction. For example, if amerchant does not submit a one-time debit Card transactionfor payment within 3 business days of authorization (or forup to 30 business days at the bank’s discretion for certaintypes of debit Card transactions, including but not limitedto, international car rental and hotel), we must release theAuthorization Hold on the transaction even though we willhave to honor the transaction. The transaction will be paidfrom the funds in the Account when we receive it for payment. You should record and track all of your transactions closely toconfirm that your Available Balance accurately reflects your useof funds from your Account.CREATING AN OVERDRAFT USING YOUR CARDAn Overdraft occurs when you do not have enough money inyour Account to cover the amount of a transaction and we paythe amount of the transaction instead of declining it or returningit unpaid. However, if you overdraw your Account, you mustdeposit the amount of any Overdrafts. You also may have topay a fee. For preauthorized recurring payments using a debitCard, we have the right to 1) authorize and pay Overdrafts, or 2)decline Overdrafts. You must repay immediately any Overdrafts. For additional information about Overdrafts, including how youcan prevent Overdrafts arising from ATM and everyday (onetime) debit Card transactions, please see your Deposit AccountAgreement or other applicable account agreement. If you are enrolled in Overdraft Protection and/or DebitCard Overdraft Service, those terms will apply to debit Cardtransactions made through a Mobile Device.
