MEDIA ANALYZER USER’S GUIDE51. OverviewMedia Analyzer solution provides a structural representation of the innerstructure and media validation of QuickTime, MP4, Fragmented MP4,3GPP, 3GPP2, Flash Video, MPEG-2 Transport Streams, MPEG-2 ProgramStreams, AVI, HEVC/H.265 (High Efficiency Video Coding), AVC/H.264(Advanced Video Coding), MPEG-2, ProRes, AAC (Advanced AudioCoding), AC-3, MPEG audio and WAV media files. The main view presentsthe corresponding headers, offsets and hierarchical structure of the file, along with all the full parameter list of the corresponding headers. Aseparate hexadecimal data preview is available, enabled for automatic filedata positioning on header structure selection. Along with the presentationcapabilities, the Media Analyzer can perform multiple operations on thesupported media files, such as demultiplex, re-multiplex, elementsextraction, video streams decoding, etc. .The product is plug-in based, where each plug-in provides media validationof different media formats.www.jongbeld.com

MEDIA ANALYZER USER’S GUIDE16.28Media ValidationThe solution supports media validation. Start Validation button starts themedia validation. The Stop Validation button can stop the validationprocess at any time. During the validation process, the validation modulesthat recognize the loaded media file, which is being validated, will print thereport messages in the report list, located at the bottom of the application.16.1. Media Validation List ViewWatch Folder list is placed at the top right corner of the application. Each media file that appears in any of the watch folders will appear inthe watch folder media file list and will have the following properties, shown in the list view:# number denotes the media file number in the batch list.File Name denotes the full path and the name of the media file to bevalidated.Duration denotes the duration of the media file. The durationappears on file validation start.Status denotes the validation status of the media file currently beingvalidated.Warnings denotes the warnings count, which occurred during thevalidation process, on the validated media file.Errors denotes the errors count, which occurred during the validationprocess, on the validated media file.www.jongbeld.com

MEDIA ANALYZER USER’S GUIDE29Media files with zero warnings and zero errors appear in green afterthe validation process. Media files with zero errors and one or morewarnings appear in yellow after the validation process. Media fileswith one or more errors appear in red after the validation process.17.Validation ModulesThe validation process is performed by number of validation modules, which can validate different types of media files or perform a different typeof media validation.17.1. MPEG-2 Transport Stream Validation ModuleMPEG-2 Transport Stream Validation Module performs validation ofMPEG-2 Transport Stream container, according to ISO/IEC 13818-1MPEG System Layer standard. Stream gaps, incorrect transportpacket arrangement and defective inner structure are easilydetectable with this validation module. From the Options menu bar open Modules to set and configure theMPEG-2 Transport Stream Validation Module. The table, containingthe list of all modules, available for the Media Validator system islocated in Validation Modules form. Select MPEG-2 TS Validatormodule and hit Setup button to open the configuration dialog.www.jongbeld.com
