AHA STREET SIGN Lot 1 — AHA Street Sign Lot 1 Lot 1 — AHA Street Sign The National Junior Hereford Association (NJHA) fundraising tradition continues with the sale of the street sign that will be on display in the lobby of the American Hereford Association headquarters. The street sign will be auctioned with the proceeds going to the NJHA Board to aid in leadership development activities. The sign, measuring 6x24 in. will feature the buyer’s name and will be displayed for one year at the AHA headquarters. AHA hosts many industry guests throughout the year and the street sign is sure to be a conversation starter in the lobby. A huge thanks to Maple Edge Hereford Farm, Bloomfield, Conn., for purchasing the sign in last year’s sale and to all of the supporters who have purchased and bid on the sign in year’s past. We appreciate each and everyone of you for your help in developing our board into the best leaders we can be. NHW RIFLE Lot 2 — NHW Rifle. The New Original Henry Iron-Framed. Lot 2 Lot 2 — The New Original Henry Iron-Framed Getting your hands on a Civil War era Henry rifle will set you back up to 250,000 if you can find one at auction. Getting your hands on the ultra-rare iron-framed Henry? Almost impossible no matter cost. The iron-framed 1860 Henry rifle was manufactured in less than 400 units, and our Iron Framed Original (actually steel-framed) makes it possible to acquire your own example of this short-lived piece of history. Building off of the desirability of our first brass-framed Original Henry Rifle, we’ve reincarnated those rare iron-framed rifles, made entirely on US soil, just as B. T. Henry’s rifles were. Our Iron-Framed Henry Original is true to Henry’s 1860 patterns and patents, and virtually identical aside from concessions necessary to adapt to the .44-40 centerfire rounds that replaced the longobsolete rimfires. The H011IF uses a thoroughly modern steel receiver with a striking color case hardened finish and a matching period correct crescent buttplate. These are fitted with a one-piece blued steel octagonal barrel and magazine, fancy grade American Walnut stocks, a classic folding ladder rear sight and blade front, traditional half-cock safety hammer notch, and no modernized manual safeties. The barrel is a full 24.5 inches with a 13 round capacity. A true collector piece for the Hereford breeder is this rifle is engraved with the iconic Hereford. Display this collectible with as must pride as you do your favorite donor cow. This is your chance to own, shoot, and display one of the most important rifles ever made in its rarest form. In 1955, the first white boots graced the Hereford showring representing the breed, industry representatives and producers from across the country. Since the first young lady was crowned, the National Hereford Queen program has grown and evolved with the breed. Today, the National Hereford Women is proud to organize and support this development program for the young women of the Hereford breed. The National Hereford Queen is an icon of breed queens as she is dawned in a white dress, boots and statement sash and classic crown. The National Hereford Women are proud to support this program and the legacy tied to the breed. The donations from the gun will go to finish funding the National Hereford Queen Scholarship at 200,000.00. This will provide the queen with a 10,000.00 scholarship. The National Hereford Queen is one of the most well know traditions in the cattle industry. She is our breeds spokesman and a person each young person can look up to. The National Hereford Women have worked endlessly for the last few years to get a scholarship that is worthy for such a young woman. Working together with HYFA, this special lot will help the NHW fully fund this amazing scholarship.
