It’s really sad for me to talk about the Martial Law threatening a country that enjoys such a high degree of freedom as the United States. However, the fact that the USA is the greatest country on Earth also means that it’s subject to numerous threats, sometimes, even from its own leaders. Let’s take China, for instance. There are, indeed, strong economic ties between the two superpowers, according to CNN 9 but any tiny reason can be the trigger, such as China’s territorial claims in the South China Sea. And don’t even get me started with Russia or North Korea. We all know one of the main reason there’s war in Syria is because of its oil reserves. and Russian wants them! If that wasn’t enough, there’s a lot of strange activity happening on US soil and the authorities do nothing about it. There’s no denial that the 100 year long mega-drought has already started as Californian authorities have already imposed water restrictions (more on that in this video). See, pretty much any major or even medium event can trigger Martial Law. Of course, it’s now “politically correct” to declare a state of emergency for things to remain “calm” but that’s just foreplay if you ask me. Just look at Hungary: less than a couple of weeks after dozens of thousands of migrants started rioting at the border and they already declared a state of emergency in September 2015. Frankly, I don’t want to rant about the increasing amounts of dangers the US is facing anymore, so here’s what I propose. I’m gonna give you the full list of all the things that could trigger Martial Law and then we’ll dive right into it with specific, actionable advice on what you can do to protect yourself, your family and your home. Sounds good? Perfect. 5

OK, Martial Law (national or localized) can be triggered by: war with another country (Russia, North Korea etc.), prolonged nation-wide riots and unrest (after Ferguson and Baltimore, wait until you see what these Muslims are capable of once millions of them land on US soil), a natural disaster such as: o a hurricane (remember Sandy and Katrina?), o an earthquake-triggered tsunami, o the Yellowstone volcanic eruption, which will put 2 thirds of the United States under a thick layer of ash, o civil war (I wouldn’t be surprised as liberals’ irrational arguments are making more and more Americans wake up to the truth that things are going from bad to worse), o a coup d’état (like the ones in Thailand in 2006 and 2014). Is the government preparing? Definitely. They know something big is about to happen. Let’s not forget the DHS bought 1.6 million rounds of ammo a while ago and something tells me they’re not gonna share that ammo with you so you can defend your family. I think the reason DHS purchased them is because they’re expecting massive riots at a national level and they know bullets is the only way to stop angry mobs. But they’re not stopping there. Apparently, DHS also bought 16 heavily armored personnel carriers that they claim they want to use during “high-risk warrants”.6 Needless to say, you need to prepare yourself on your own (well, with my help, of course) and stop waiting for the Government or FEMA to help you. When a nation-wide SHTF event occurs, they will be 6

overwhelmed, they will be helpless. Remember how slowly they reacted Katrina and that was just a regional disaster! So, What is martial law, anyway? It’s important to note that there is no definition of the Martial Law, it’s more of a set of restrictions that you can expect to happen when it occurs. Nevertheless, let’s try to give one, shall we? Martial Law is an extraordinary situation that occurs inside a state when the acting government cannot enforce their authority over the population and keep things running smooth. It involves the suspension of the Constitution (and with it, the second Amendment, meaning your right to bear arms) and ordinary law, which is gets replaced by a military dictatorship There’s an important caveat here. Some countries (the U.S. included) declare a “state of emergency” instead of Martial Law in case of natural disasters. The reason is obvious. They don’t want the general population to panic and, besides, most disasters are localized, meaning they affect only a region, not the entire country. So there’s a reason for authorities not wanting everyone to panic but the problem is, they want that even when it IS time to panic. You know, like when you really need to bug out in order to save your life. I doubt anyone told the Syrians to bug out. They that figured out on their own and over 330,000 of them died 10 in recent years with over 13 million of them being wounded and displaced 10 during the civil war which still goes on as I’m writing this. And this was a country that was doing really well until not too long ago! My point is, it doesn’t matter what they call it. When things start going downhill, we’re all gonna witness a snowball effect. It’s every 7

man for himself as people and circumstances start taking unexpected turns. As I’m writing this, for instance, European authorities are completely overwhelmed by these refugees who came at their doorstep unarmed. And they can barely handle them! In fact, things are so bad that the Schengen zone itself has been suspended. Germany is performing border checks again as dozens of thousands of refugees arriving on The Old Continent every single day. Is the U.S. Turning into a Police State? Of course, we don’t know for sure when the next Martial Law will happen, that’s why we have to be fully prepared. One thing we do know is that the United States is turning more and more into a police state (I’ve documented some of the most important police brutality cases in this article on my blog). The cops are getting obnoxious at attacking American citizens. I see news of their abuse every day. Here’s what Sergeant Shamar Thomas told the police during a rally: “It takes a coward to harm an unarmed civilian this is not a war zone, these are unarmed people. It does not make you tough to hurt these people If you want to go fight, go to Iraq and Afghanistan Leave these people alone, they are U.S. citizens Why are you doing this to our people? I've been to Iraq 14 months for my people and you come here to hurt them, they don't have guns It doesn't make any sense How do you sleep at night? There is no honor in this ” What this means is they’re expecting things to go from bad to worse at any moment and they realize they wouldn’t have control over the population if that happened today. This is why strengthening the 8

police is a top priority for the Government. This is why you need to prepare. What will happen, exactly? What kinds of restrictions can occur when Martial Law is applied? There are a number of things that may happen such as: rationing of basic goods, confiscation of food to be shared with the rest of the community, gun confiscations, restrictions in departure/arrival in/from cities and suburbs, detention of U.S. citizens by the military, quarantine, the Constitution is suspended, the civil law is suspended and military law is imposed, civilians are not judged by a real judge but by the court-martial .and even confiscation of property! On March 16th 2012, President Obama released a very controversial executive order (EO) by means of which he requested executive departments and agencies: [ ] to take actions necessary to ensure the availability of adequate resources and production capability, including services and critical technology, for national defense requirements [ ] 2 There are two conclusions to draw from this: #1. Folks who refuse to share their resources will wind up in the same place with troublemakers who weren’t afraid to steal and attack to stay alive in times of chaos. 9

#2. People will be put there without being judged for what they allegedly did. Remember, in times of chaos, justice will no longer work as we expect it to. The law? Well, if you break it, don’t expect to be judged like you would during peacetime. There will be military courts with military commissions that will decide whether you’re guilty or not and what punishment fits the crime. Needless to say, the guys who’ll be deciding your faith are not exactly at the top of their game when it comes to practicing the law. Examples of Martial Law Martial Law in the U.S. There are quite a few examples of Martial Law being imposed. However, those were isolated incidents and not nation-wide, as we expect the next Martial Law to be when it will hit us unnoticed. General Andrew Jackson declared martial law in New Orleans during the war of 1812 and Mayor Roswell B. Mason declared Martial Law during the Great Chicago Fire in 1871. These may be isolated incidents that happened a long time ago but that’s exactly the mistake people make: they think that just because they never experienced something, that it doesn’t exist or that it’s impossible to happen. Wrong! Better safe than sorry because all it takes one Martial Law event to completely shatter your family. It doesn’t even have to be national. Folks across the country are just going to sit and watch what’s happening in your region but for you. it’s going to be Hell on Earth. Martial Law in Other Countries 10

You may not have heard about these situations, however, martial law was used plenty of times in recent history. For example, the last Martial Law that ever happened in Turkey was declared between December 1978 and December 1983 – that’s a half a decade! It wasn’t declared in the entire country, only in 13 Turkish provinces, however, the state of emergency remained in some provinces until 2002. Thailand is another country where Martial Law is more or less a tradition. The last time it occurred was on May 20 th 2014, when Army Commander-in-Chief Gen. Prayuth Chan-ocha declared nation-wide martial law after months of bloody national protests. What about State of Emergency? State of emergency declarations are much more common but that doesn’t mean they won’t affect you or your family. Pretty much every U.S. president had to declare it at some point. Bill Clinton, for instance, declared it no less than 16 times. Barrack Obama is also known for declaring them numerous times 11 and the reason is. it’s easier for him! He gets more power so he can do whatever he wants, good or devastating. What will life be Like? Ok, let’s try to imagine what life would be like when Martial Law is in effect. However, since this hasn’t happened in a while in America, this is easier said than done. This is why we have to prepare for every possible scenario (and we’ll get to that in a minute) but first let’s try to imagine how the events might occur. One of the first effects of Martial Law that many people expect is for the free press to be literally destroyed. In an attempt to control the 11

free flow of information, don’t expect to hear the truth on T.V. no matter on which channel you flip on. In fact, expect to have limited or no access to the Internet and some websites because that’s where all the hype and misinformation cloaks. You might be restricted from getting in our out of town, even if you have all the right papers. Expect that access to supermarket food, water and healthcare to be rationed and limited despite the fact that you will have cash to pay for these services and even a valid health insurance. There are a few very interesting executive orders that you may not be aware of that will go in effect during Martial Law. Yes, right here, in the U.S. For example. Executive Order 13010 allows FEMA to control all government agencies should an emergency arrive Executive Order 11000: all civilians can be used for community work in case of an emergency. The “goal” is to “develop plans and issue guidance designed to utilize to the maximum extent civilian manpower resources, such plans and guidance to be developed with the active participation and assistance of the States and local political subdivisions thereof”. and many other executive orders, such as 13603, 10995, 10997 and so on. Look them up on the web, you’re going to have a huge surprise reading them. Beware of impersonators. How easy would it be for a gang of killers to steal some uniforms and pretend to represent the law simply to get inside your home quicker? You should be extra weary of people 12

trying to get inside your home and stand your ground until you are 100% sure they are who they claim to be. There are going to be a lot of checkpoints on main as well as secondary roads. You can expect lots of patrols as well in key points in every city from the National Guard, the police and the military. What this means is, if you want to bug out or to get to your bug-out location, you can’t do it with your truck. I don’t care if you have a Ford F250 or even a tactical vehicle. If you want to get across, you’re gonna have to do it on foot. Health is going to be a big problem. With little or no access to doctors, you’re gonna have to learnt to take care of yourself. Plus, who knows how many people with infections are gonna run around freely? (This is one of the reasons I don’t’ think mouth-to-mouth CPR is a good idea and that we should all stick to chest compressions if we want to save someone’s life.) Plus, consider you might have to stand in line for hours, even days to be seen by a doctor and expose yourself to the medical problems of those who’re waiting in line with you. And I don’t even want to think what will happen if there’s a pandemic and you’ll be quarantined along with others even though you’re fine. Vaccines, anyone? Gangs are going to fight for control over parts of towns and cities. This means that, if you’re unprepared, you might have to obey to them. They know very well that it could take days for some sort of authority to arrive in your town and, when they leave, they’ll be back in charge. Looting. Did you know that nearly every store in Ferguson was ransacked during the riots? All of them except St. Louis Ink Tattoo Studio and County Guns whose owners stood up to defend their turf. 13

Self-defense is going to play an important role if you want to survive Martial Law, and I’m not talking just about owning a gun. You have to know when to use it, how to use it, clean it, and even have to have alternative survival weapons and even know a few basic self-defense moves. Long-term Consequences I don’t need to tell you how bad it is to have an entire nation frozen by martial law. Thailand experienced this as tourism dropped dramatically in the May and June of 2014, following the nation-wide Martial Law declaration. In the coming months, the rise in tourism was extremely slow with huge consequences on the country’s economy. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that, in the event of a national Martial Law, things are not going to go back to normal anytime soon. If you decided to bug in and were lucky enough not to be sent to detention camp, you’re gonna have to not only protect your home 24/7 but find ways to get food, water, to cook and keep warm. It depends on how much you have stockpiled, of course, but you won’t make it on MREs. You need hot meals and you need to get your life to some sort of “normal”. If you bugged out, you’re probably safer Your old house will probably be stripped unless you’re willing to raid it and see if salvage, you’re pretty much stuck with alternate location. than 99% of Americans. away of everything and, there’s anything you can what you have in your Here’s what Katrina taught us 14

In 2005, the United Stated was hit by one of the most powerful disasters ever. There were some tough lessons to be learned from that tragic event, the first one being that the U.S. authorities were completely taken by surprise by this. Hard to believe, given the huge budgets that are allocated to this but the lack of experience and preparedness raised the official death toll to 1,440 souls according to the Louisiana Department of Health.4 I repeat: don’t expect any help from authorities in times of chaos (whether it’s natural or man-made). It might take days or even weeks before someone comes to your aid. You need to take matters into your own hands. What Can You Do? Preparing for martial law is something that preppers take very seriously. However, if you follow these simple rules, you’ll increase your chances to not only survive but thrive, no matter how bad things get out there. #1. Keep your mouth shut The less you talk, the less likely you are to be raided by looters, the police or government agents. And the more you stockpile, the more reasons you have to not say anything to anybody. Walls have ears and Big Gov. knows about the prepping community. They know a lot of people are stashing away their food supplies. They read the blogs and forums, they’re only a few clicks away! If you assume that every piece of information could get you in trouble, you’ll sleep a lot better at night. And in case of Martial Law, a good night sleep will be a luxury for many Americans. 15

#2. You won’t always have to listen to what the government will tell you For one, you won’t even know for sure the people asking to come in are, in fact, who they say they are. They might as well be impersonators who’re taking advantage of all the confusion to help themselves with food, water and guns. #3. It’s OK to be suspicious Of course, when someone wants to get into your home no matter what, they’re first going to try a lot of tactics before opening fire. They’re going to try and act authoritative but you have every reason to doubt a bunch of men who’re outside your house. Whatever they say, you have no reason to let them in and every reason to be suspicious. If they have good intentions, they’ll understand. #4. Get as many people on your side as you can I hate to be the bearer of bad news but, in case of Martial Law, you’re not looking at isolated incidents between various factions. you’re looking at something akin to war. You’ll need men if you want to keep looters and the authorities out of your home. You’re gonna have to plan, prepare and fight. You may require others’ assistance and others may require yours. Be ready for that. Stay in touch with everyone you know is in the same boat as you. Do drills, talk weapons and establish alternate means of communications in case of emergency, such as walkie-talkies. Try to bring sensitive issues with your friends, neighbors and colleagues to find out which of them respond in a positive way. 16

Organize poker night at your place a couple of nights to get to know your neighbors a little better and see on which ones you can count on and on which ones you can’t. #5. Protect you privacy This is something you have to start doing right now, don’t wait until it’s too late. Your footprint on this Earth is directly proportional with how reckless you are with your needs. Navigating anonymously (using a VPN) and incognito mode in your browser, reducing access to your credit reports, opt out of newsletters and mailings you don’t need and protecting your smartphone are just a few of the things you can do to go under the radar. For starters. #6. Stockpile lots of guns& ammo When SHTF, you can bet your life there’s going to be a shortage of guns and ammo. People always think short-term: they only buy what they need when they need it. Just like getting a new phone or a 4K T.V. Well, that’s not going to be the case with guns and ammo. Even if you’ll be fortunate enough to find any during Martial Law, it’s going to be very dangerous to procure them. You’ll be much better off sitting inside your home or bug-out location and let others beat up each-other for a few rounds of ammo. Even if you do decide to take the risk and getting ammo in times of crisis, you get a little surprise from gun shops who will limit the amount of rounds a customer can purchase. #7. Hide your stockpile 17

You’re going to have to be creative about where you can hide them but, if you have a big house, that shouldn’t be a problem. And if you live in a big city, I strongly suggest you consider moving into a smaller one or at least the suburbs. In any case, the first people you need to hide your guns and ammo are your children. The Guardian reports 8 that a staggering 7,000 children are hospitalized each from gunshot wounds. Some of them, of course, are even killed. One thing to keep in mind is that simply hiding them just isn’t enough. Kid are curious, they play around the house a lot so they will find them if you haven’t done a good job at keeping them safe. If you get a semi-automatic gun, for instance, you can break it down into pieces. It’s not only a lot easier to hide but, if your child happens to find one piece, he won’t be able to hurt himself. You can modify a lot of the things in your home to allow a gun inside them. From large paintings and mirrors to modified wooden cabinet or even bury them in your backyard. Consider putting your gun in a PVC pipe if you’re going to bury it, place caps on both ends, then use PVC sealants. #8. Your Conceal Carry Permit Long story short, if you have one, you can expect your Government to come looking for guns. The easiest way is to have a gun you can spare when they come knocking on your door and give that one to them. Then they’ll leave you alone, not knowing you have other guns stashed not very far away. #9. Guns in Your Car 18

You never know whether you’re going to use the car to bug out. If you will, a lot of perils await you on the road. Hiding your gun is tougher but not impossible. One way is to cut one of the seats. You should probably fix the seams with Velcro or something so it doesn’t look odd. #10. You’ll need alternative survival weapons, just in case your firearms are confiscated, stolen or even taken by force. Slings, bows, flare guns, boomerangs, knives, axes, machetes, tasers and so on. #11. Get into shape. All the guns in the world can’t do anything to protect you if you can’t reach them in time. Maybe you’re out in the city when disaster strikes and, all of the sudden, your body is on red alert. If you haven’t trained your muscles, joints and tendons, they’re most likely going to fail you when you trip, fall down the stairs, climb or jump. Forget those overweight preppers who wouldn’t be able to run to their car. A lot of non-preppers are going to make it and a lot of preppers are going to die because the first ones are going to be physically and mentally stronger than the others. #12. Mind your HAM radio license You can’t get a HAM radio license unless you’re registered, meaning the Government can track you down in a heartbeat. This is a shame because HAM radio is the best alternative communication method out there but it’s up to you to weigh the pros and cons. Keep in mind that there are other communication devices out there such as CB (citizen’s band) and walkie-talkies (that have shorter ranges, unfortunately). #13. Become a gray man 19

Being gray means becoming as stealth as possible. Keep your curtains closed, stay inside, avoid the temptation to look out the window, keep cooking to a minimum, keep your pets indoors, avoid cooking (the smell will attract looters) and so on. #14. Avoid living in areas where state of emergency has been declared. Some preppers are a bit extreme when they move far away in the wilderness or even on a boat (where they live full-time). At the very least, try to move out of the city and into the suburbs (and find a job there). #15. Know what to do in case of a riot In most cases it’s probably better if you bugged out rather than stay and wait to see what happens. Things can escalate quickly and you want to be far away when that happens. If you happen to be caught right in the middle of the riot, you need to know what to do. First off, don’t go against it. Move at the same pace and in the same direction with the protesters until you find a way to break loose. Try to move at an angle towards that window of opportunity when you see it. In a riot, there are two things you do not want to be: a hero or a spectator. Your goal should be to go to safety as quickly as you can. If that means that you have to take shelter in a building near you that has its doors open, do so until you’re able to go home. #16. Have a get home bag (GHB) or an everyday carry kit (EDC) Call them what you want, you need a few things to assist you in getting home in case something happen. In case of a riot or Martial Law, you have to move fast. 20

The first thing you’ll need is some cash. Use it to get food and soda form vending machines, give them to rioters to leave you alone or simply to but whatever you need cash. The second thing you’re gonna need is a folding knife. From selfdefense to cutting stuff, it’s got a million and one uses. There are a lot of items you can carry with you on a daily basis that you can stash in your pockets, in your laptop bag, your purse or even in your backpack. Here’s a quick list to get you started: cash a folding knife a button compass a small flashlight a compact mult-itool band aids paper clips fish hooks a Fresnel lens (for starting a fire) a magnesium fire starter (a great alternative to the Fresnel lens) a bandana (useful against tear gas) wasp or pepper spray (for self-defense) pins and a few cotton balls a handgun Should you get all of them? Probably not and it’s all up to you. With urban riots, the most important thing is that you have some means of defending yourself. 21

Should You Bug Out? The answer is a most definite yes. If Martial Law is declared or if it’s only a matter of time until it becomes a reality, your first impulse should be to get out. I know your home is your castle but, at the end of the day, your life is worth more. You’re not a hero if you stand up and fight when you’re outnumbered; you’re a hero when you take your family to safety and keep it alive. So, by all means, if you live in the city or the burbs, bug out and avoid being kept inside the perimeter or even sent to “detention camps”. Know all the different escape routes and be among the first to flee and avoid getting trapped in traffic. Make sure you have a bug-out vehicle and even a back-up. Some preppers think outside the box and have inflatable boats or even skateboards to assist their bug-outs. What about your home? Whether you bug in our out, you still need to take all necessary means to protect it. If you end up bugging in, you’re gonna thank yourself for doing so. If you bug out, you still want to come back to it and find it just the way you left it. Final Word What can I say? Start prepping. Keep an eye out for my e-mails because they’re chock-full of lifesaving survival information. The more you learn, the better you’ll be able to protect yourself and your family. One more thing: please stay away from those shady marketing survival products. Those aren’t written by preppers
