Course PrerequisiteMAC 1105 or appropriate score on the SPC mathematicsplacement test or program director approval. May be takenconcurrently with MAC 1114.COURSE DESCRIPTIONMajor topics include: polynomial, rational and other algebraic functions, their properties and graphs; polynomial and rational inequalities;exponential and logarithmic functions, their properties and graphs; piecewise-defined functions; conic sections; matrices anddeterminants; sequences and series; mathematical induction; binomial theorem and applications. Credit is not given for both MAC 1140and MAC 1106 or MAC 1140 and MAC 1147. 47 contact hours.COURSE GOALS1.The student will demonstrate understanding of relations and functions including conic sections by:a.communicating using precise mathematical language.b.determining the properties and graphs of given functions (polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic and otheralgebraic functions).c.solving and graphing piecewise-defined functions.d.determining the properties and graphs of conic sections (circle, ellipse, hyperbola, parabola).2. The student will demonstrate ability to solve and graph equations and inequalities and to use matrices and determinants by:a.solving and graphing polynomial and rational equations and inequalities.b.solving systems of equations by matrices and determinants.3. The student will demonstrate ability to analyze and apply concepts of this course by:a.determining specific terms of arithmetic and geometric sequences and sums of series.b.proving a given statement by use of mathematical induction.c.expanding by the use of the binomial theorem.d.applying knowledge of given functions to real world problems such as curve fitting, modeling, optimization, exponential andlogarithmic growth and decay.

TESTINGThere will be five (5) written tests during the semester. Online mymathlab(www.mymathlab.com) homework and quizzes will alsobe given. At the end of the term you will be required to sit for a comprehensive final examination. The final will count 30% of thecourse grade and the tests will count 50%. The MML homework average counts 10%. The MML quiz average counts 10%. LateMML homework receives a 5% deduction on the final score. The lowest test will be dropped when computing the course average.NO MAKE-UP TESTS WILL BEGIVEN. If any test is missed, the grade assigned will be zero. TI-83,TI-83 plus, or TI-84graphing calculators, which are recommended, may be used on all tests. Calculators such as TI-89s, TI-92s, Voyager,TI Nspires are NOT permitted on tests.AttendanceStudents are required to attend class regularly and on time. Students who do not attend during the first two weeks of class will beautomatically withdrawn from the course by the college and will be responsible for tuition fees. Attendance will be recorded at the start ofeach period. Late arriving students are responsible for signing in at the end of the class to avoid being counted absent. Except in anemergency, a student who needs to leave early should notify the instructor at the beginning of the period. When absent, it is the student’sresponsibility to learn what was missed. Students missing class are strongly encouraged to contact the instructor. The college-wideattendance policy is also included in the SYLLABUS ADDENDUM ed homework exercises will be assigned.GRADING POLICY: The grading scale is90 – 100 A80 – 89 B70 – 79 C60 – 69 DBelow 60 FCourse Average Formula .50* (Test Average) .30* (Final) .10*(MyMathlab homework average) .10*(MyMathlab quizaverage).WITHDRAWAL PROCEDURE:Instructors can no longer withdraw students from classes. If a student wishes to withdraw from a course, it is the responsibility of thestudent to withdraw either online through MySPC or with the help of an advisor in the registration office. If the withdrawal is completedby the Drop date, a grade of “W” will be recorded which does not impact the student’s GPA. If the withdrawal occurs after the Drop date, the student will receive a grade of WF (withdrew-failing). The WF grade is punitive; it has the same impact on the GPA as an F. Studentsin the third attempt of a course who withdraw will receive a WF regardless of the date of withdrawal. Students who do not attend during thefirst two weeks of class will be automatically withdrawn from the course by the college and will be responsible for tuition fees. Also, students who do not show sufficient active participation (i.e. completion of tests and quizzes and regular attendance) in the course by theDrop date, will be administratively withdrawn by the college and receive a WF. Students who withdraw from all classes may be required torepay some or all of the financial aid received for the term. Should you consider totally withdrawing from all classes before the Drop date ,it is important that you consult the Scholarships & Student Financial Assistance office on your home campus to understand your optionsand the consequences of total withdrawal.

Tahap Pencatatan a. Mengidentifikasi dan mengukur bukti transaksi serta bukti pencatatan. b. Mengelola dan mencatat bukti transaksi seperti kwitansi, cek, bilyet giro, nota kontan .
