Plum Creek recently added new databases to our resources to better serve our DIY patrons.Scholastic: We have talked about the Scholastic resources before. PlumCreek continues to offer BookFlix, ScienceFlix and the Watch and Learnresources, which are perfect for elementary and homeschooling classrooms. We recently added new Scholastic resources to serve our patronseven better. Check out TrueFlix, resources to supplement science and social studies curricula and FreedomFlix, which brings American history tolife. 12Details for the Friday Morning Fun programsreturning in SeptemberLake Benton Elementary begins classes tomorrow, which means weare gearing up for the school year as well. Check out these fun programs coming in September and October.Friday Morning Fun programs take place every Friday Morning thatschool is in session. Preschoolers are invited to join us from 10 – 11a.m. for a fun story time that includes themed stories, activities,songs, crafts and snacks. Our first Friday Morning Fun program of theschool year will be on Sept. 17.Our planned themes will be as follows:Sept. 17 – Books are fun! - Celebrate reading and books with your favorite public library.Sept 24 – Fall/Autumn - Learn about the turning of the seasons.Oct. 1 – Fire Safety – Learn how to prevent fires and what to do if a firebreaks out in your home.Oct. 8 – Pumpkins – It’s pumpkin season! Learn all about these goldenglobes.Oct. 15 – Spiders – Spiders don’t have to be scary. The more you knowabout these helpful critters, the less scary they will be.Oct. 22 – Scarecrows – Learn about these garden and field friends.Oct. 29 – Halloween – It’s spooky season!
