Operation SafetySafety2.1Correct useThis appliance is a pressure device for the heating of cold water toEN 806 that can supply one or several draw-off points.3.Equipment descriptionThis appliance is designed for domestic use. It can be used safelyby untrained persons. The appliance can also be used in a nondomestic environment, e.g. in a small business, as long as it isused in the same way.Any other use beyond that described shall be deemed inappropriate. Observation of these instructions is also part of the correctuse of the appliance. Any changes or conversions to the appliancevoid any warranty.The appliance heats water as it flows through it. The DHW outlettemperature can be infinitely adjusted on the temperature selector. From a certain flow rate, the control unit regulates the correctheating output, subject to the temperature selected and the coldwater temperature.2.2The appliance is equipped with an air detector that largely prevents damage to the heating system. During this process, these installationinstructions must be observed.We guarantee trouble-free function and operational reliabilityonly if the original accessories and spare parts intended for theappliance are used.7.2Instructions, standards and regulations!Risk of damage!Observe the type plate. The stated voltage must matchthe mains voltage.7.4Risk of frostThe installation of the appliance must be carried out in a roomfree from the risk of frost.ffStore the dismantled appliance in a room free from the riskof frost, as water residues remaining inside the appliance canfreeze and cause damage.8.Equipment descriptionThe bare wire heating system is suitable for hard and soft waterareas. The heater has low susceptibility to scale build-up.Danger to life through electrocution!All electrical connection and installation work mustbe conducted in accordance with VDE regulations(DIN VDE 0100) [or local regulations], the rules of yourlocal power supply utility and relevant national andlocal regulations.The outlet temperature can be infinitely adjusted. 10.3.4 Connecting a load shedding relayInstall the load shedding relay in conjunction with other electricappliances, e.g. electric storage heaters. The relay responds whenthe instantaneous water heater starts. The load shedding relay isavailable from Stiebel Eltron as a special accessory.Phase connectionConnect the phase that switches the load shedding relayto the indicated terminal of the mains terminal in theappliance.Priority control with LR 1-A10.3.6 Water installation for finished walls with solder/compression fittingWith the special accessories "solder fitting" or "compression fitting" (see "Special accessories"), copper or plastic pipes can beconnected in installations on finished walls.With special accessory "solder fitting", a threaded connection withon-site 12 mm copper pipes can be used. Installation Assembly10.3.8 Installing lower part of back panel10.3.10 Undersink installation with turned appliance capIf using threaded connections for finished walls, the lower part ofthe back panel can also be installed after fitting the taps/valves.To do this, carry out the following steps:ffCut open the lower part of the back panel.ffFit the lower part of the back panel by bending it out at thesides and guiding it over the pipes.ffInsert the connection pieces from behind into the lower partof the back panel.ffClick the lower part of the back panel into place.ffSecure the lower part of the back panel with a screw.The appliance cap can be positioned on the back panel turnedthrough 180 . This is particularly advantageous for undersink installation. For this take the following steps:ffRemove the user interface from the appliance cap by undoingboth screws.ffTurn the appliance cap, and secure the user interface again.ffPlug the set value transducer cable into the "set temperature"PCB; see "Commissioning".ffHook the appliance cap back into the top and pivot it downagainst the back panel.
