Web Developer Internship Job Description Alliance Minerals is Des Moines based international company in dimension stone business. It has fabrication facilities and quarried in Asia and routinely sourced products from China, India and Vietnam. Alliance Minerals is looking for one or two interns to develop a web based transaction system for its business. Alliance Minerals currently has a web based transaction system but intends to upgrade it to a better one in order to accommodate its multiple business and warehouse locations. This transaction system shall be able to create and process orders, manage the company’s inventory and inventory/trade flow as well as multi-location warehouses; and this project shall be finished within 3-5 months, but as early as we can. A detail content flow structure is enclosed in this job description. Responsibilities: Work together with company staff to understand the whole business transaction module and flow; Independently or work as a team (if we have 2 interns) to develop this web based transaction system; Work together with our outsourced IT firm to run this website on the development site. Requirements: Proficient knowledge of major web development languages, databases and skill of web coding writing in order to make web run smoothly and efficiently; Knowledge of open source web development tools, such as Drupal, DotNetNuke Strong analytical skills in order to execute the transaction model to web development; General knowledge about web design (this transaction web does not need to be colorful); Extensive knowledge of information tracking/message flow in the system; Website must pass basic web browser requirements for running on major browsers, such as IE, Firefox, safari, Opera, Google Chrome; Website must pass the security requirements; Strong logistical thinking to make the transaction flow follow company’s business model; Visit company weekly to review the status of website development Qualification: Preferred gradates or senior undergraduates in computer science, computer engineering and management information system majors with knowledge and skill of develop website; Good communication skill and willingness to work together with other people; Self-discipline in order to finish work on a timely basis Basic understanding of international trade is preferred but not required.
