J1939 Engine Data – All Vehicles Locate the J1939 backbone black/blue connector with yellow/green wires behind the ignition switch. Click here for a video of this process. Connect the PMG 2-pin using the two “PACCAR” pigtails from the 2-pin kit. If the vehicle connector comes apart showing 4 pins and a resistor, remove that piece from the black 2-pin and reinsert it in the blue female connector.

J1708 Engine Data – Pre-2010 Model Years If the vehicle was built before model year 2010, connect the black 2-pin J1708 to the block behind the ignition switch. If the vehicle is 2010 or newer, this connection is not needed.

Antenna Secure the antenna on top of all center-dash wiring and modules using the tape provided and a zip-tie. NOTE: If no secure mount is available, move the antenna to the top of the airducts above the glove-box.

Display Mount Option 1 If central dash space is available, attach the RAM mount using bolts and large washers or a backing plate.

Display Mount Option 2 If the dash provides no mount space, attach the RAM mount to the passenger’s side using bolts and large washers or a backing plate. Route the cable into the dash below the glovebox being sure the cable isn’t pinched.

PMG Mount Bundle any extra cabling in the open central dash space. Mount the PMG to the back of the central airduct using 2-sided tape and a zip-tie or screw.
