The following instructionsand procedures must be followed in order to keepthe emissions from your engine within the emissionstandards. Maintenance, replacement, or repair ofthe emission control devices and systems may beperformed by any engine repair establishment orindividual, using parts that are ‘‘certified’’ to EPAstandards.1. Read, understand, and follow all instructions on themachine and manual(s) before attempting toassemble and operate.2. Operator must be familiar with all controls, theiroperations, and how to stop the engine anddisengage the controls quickly.3. Never allow children to operate this machine.4. Never allow adults to operate this machine withoutproper instruction.5. Exercise caution to avoid slipping or falling,especially when operating the machine in reverse.6. They should beinstructed about safe operating and mechanicalprocedures. If they can not read or understandEnglish, it is the owner’s responsibility to explain allsafety operating instructions. The owner oroperator is responsible for accidents or injuriesoccurring to themselves, other people or property.Potential misfortunate incidents can be preventedby the owner/user.WARNINGWARNING! Do not use your BEAST snow blower to carrypassengers. Keep bystanders, helpers, pets and childrenat a safe distance from the machine while it is inoperation. Inspect the area where the equipment is to beused and remove all objects such as rocks, toys, and wireswhich can be thrown by the machine causing seriousinjury or death.WARNINGSnow Blower InspectionFor your safety, inspect the snow blower before eachuse. Before you begin your inspection, be sure thefollowing conditions are met: the snow blower shouldbe on a level surface, with the ignition switch off, thekey removed, and the augers disengaged. Also,disconnect the spark plug wires from the spark plugsand ground them against the engine to preventinadvertent starting.Rev Sept 2019Wear appropriate clothing including hard hat, safetyglasses and hearing protection. Inspect the area where the equipment is to beused and remove all objects such as rocks,mats, and wire which can be thrown by themachine causing serious injury or death.2. Disengage all clutches and shift to neutralbefore starting the engine.3. Disengage all control levers before starting theengine.4. Use extension cords and receptacles asspecified by the manufacturer for all units withelectric drive motors or electric startingmotors.5. Use a grounded three-wire extension cordwhen using the electric start option.6. People, pets, and most importantly childrenmust not be near the area being cleared. Donot operate the snow blower in their presence.7. Never operate snow blower with damagedguards, shields or covers.8. All users of the snow blower must be alert andpay attention to safety alerts, symbols, andsafety signs.9. Be sure to inspect snow blower before eachGasoline and other fuels—Safety PrecautionsUse extra care when handling gasoline and otherfuels as they are flammable and vapors can explode.1. Only use gasoline approved containers for storageand keep out of reach from children.2. Do not fill fuel tank completely full. Overfilling mayresult in fuel leakage. Leave a reasonable amountof space for fuel to expand.3. If fuel is spilled, do not start the engine. Move thesnow blower away from the area, wipe up the spillthoroughly and wait until fuel vapors haveevaporated before starting engine.4. Keep the nozzle in contact with the rim on the fueltank or container opening at all times, untilrefueling is complete. Do not use nozzle lock-opendevice.5. Do not fill gasoline containers or equipment inside avehicle or on a truck/trailer bed.6. Always place gasoline containers on the groundaway from your vehicles prior to filling.7. Never remove gas cap or add fuel when engine isrunning or the engine is hot.8. Avoid prolonged breathing of gasoline vapors.9. Do not operate if any are damagedor missing.11. Never attempt to make any adjustments to thesnow blower while it is running.12. Adjust the collector housing height to cleargravel or crushed rock surfaces.13. Wear appropriate clothing including hard hat,safety glasses and hearing protection. Longhair, loose clothing or jewelry may get tangledin moving parts.14. Do not operate without wearing adequatewinter clothing. Wear footwear that willimprove footing on slippery surfaces.15. Allow snow blower to adjust to outdoortemperature before starting the engine.10. Keep face away from nozzle and gas tank opening.11. Keep gas and other fuels away from skin and eyes.If fuel is spilled on clothing, change clothingimmediately.12. Never use the mouth to siphon gas.13. Never refuel the snow blower until all movingparts on the snow blower have stopped.14. Never smoke when handling fuels and stay awayfrom an open flame where fumes can be ignited bya spark.15. Gasoline is harmful or fatal if swallowed.DANGERDANGER: GASOLINE IS HIGHLY FLAMMABLE ANDEXPLOSIVE. Do not add fuel while the engine isrunning or is hot. Keep open flames, sparks, and heataway from the fuel and store fuel in containersspecifically designed for that purpose. ADD FUELOUTDOORS ONLY. IF THE FUEL IS SPILLED, DO NOTSTART THE ENGINE. Snow BEASTOperation Safety PrecautionsEquipment Operation—Safety Precautions1. Do not operate the engine in a confined spacewhere dangerous carbon monoxide fumes cancollect. Carbon monoxide is odorless,tasteless, and can be fatal.2. Never operate the snow blower without goodvisibility or light.3. Exercise extreme caution when operating onor crossing gravel drives, walks, or roads. Stayalert for hidden hazards or traffic.4. Never operate the snow blower with defectiveguards or shields, or without the safety devicessecurely mounted in place and functioningproperly.5. Be aware of discharge and never directdischarge of material toward people or areaswhere property damage can occur. Keepchildren and others away.6. Do not change the governor settings or overspeed the engine.7. Do not overload the machine capacity byattempting to clear snow at too fast a rate.8. Always stop the engine when you leave thesnow blower, even for a moment.9. To help reduce fire hazard, keep the engineand the area around the engine free of grass,leaves or any other type of foreign material.10. Beware of any sharp edges. For safety alwayswear gloves when performing augers/impellermaintenance activities11. If lightning is seen or thunder is heard in theoperators vicinity, do not operate machine.Instead find shelter, as lightning may causeinjury/death.12. After striking a foreign object, stop the engine,remove the wire from the spark plug,thoroughly inspect the snow blower for anydamage, and repair the damage beforerestarting and operating the snow blower.13. If machine starts to vibrate or functionabnormally, stop the engine immediately andcheck for cause. Vibration is generally awarning of trouble.14. This product is capable of amputatinghands and feet.Be alert and slow down when making turns.Also look left, right, and behind before changingdirections and reversing to be sure there is aclear path.Never operate snow blower at high transportspeeds on slippery surfaces.Never operate snow blower under the influenceof alcohol and drugs.Use care when loading or unloading themachine into a trailer or truck.Use care when approaching blind corners,shrubs, trees, or other objects that mayobstruct vision.Always disengage power to augers when not inuse or transported.Never listen to music with headphones/earphones while operating the snow blower.Use extreme caution when operating on slopes.Never touch a hot engine or muffler.Use caution when operating on gravel surfaces.Only use attachments and accessories that areapproved by BEAST.When starting the engine pull the cord slowlyuntil some resistance is felt before using fullforce.Always have a good grip on the handles andnever run while operating the snow blower.Stop the engine whenever you leave theoperating position, before unclogging theaugers/impeller or discharge chute, and whenmaking any repairs, adjustments or inspections.When cleaning, repairing or inspecting thesnow blower, stop the engine and make certainthe augers/impeller and all moving parts havestopped. Disconnect the spark plug wire andkeep the wire away from the plug to preventsomeone from accidentally starting the engine.Snow BEAST Snow Blower3

Snow BEASTOperation Safety Precautions30SB, 36SB, 45SBClearing A Clogged Chute—Safety Precautions1. SHUT THE ENGINE OFF!2. Wait at least 10 seconds to be sure the augers havestopped rotating.3. Always use a cleanout tool and never your hands.4. Ground the spark plug when clearing if hands getclose to the augers/impeller.IMPORTANT! The snow blower belts are adjustedto ensure the augers/impeller stop turning withinfive (5) seconds of releasing the impeller controllever. If you are making any belt adjustmentswhatsoever, for your safety and the safety of othersaround you, you must ensure the belts are readjusted to achieve this design specification.GASOLINE IS HIGHLY FLAMMABLE ANDEXPLOSIVE. FUEL LEAKS, A LOOSE FUEL TANK,OR A LOOSE FUEL VALVE CAN LEAD TOSEVERE INJURY OR DEATH. DO NOT OPERATETHIS SNOW BLOWER IF ANY COMPONENT OFTHE FUEL SYSTEM IS LOOSE OR LEAKSGASOLINE!Before setting up your SNOW BEAST snowblower, disconnect the spark plug wires fromthe spark plugs and ground them against theengine to prevent inadvertent starting. Thisstep should be taken as a precautionwhenever you are working on this machine.Before attempting to use your snow blower,make sure you are familiar with all of thecomponents and have read the manual.DANGER: Do not bypass, modify, alter ordisconnect the safety system. Snow BEASTAssembly Instructions30SB, 36SB, 45SBStep 1: Control Panel Handles1. Align the two holes on each side of the control panelhandles over the lower handle frame.2. Insert the bolts through the handlebar holes and frameholes. Secure in place with hardware provided. All boltheads must face to the inside.3. Connect the headlight wring harness to the engineWiring harness.Step 2: Directional Discharge Chute1. Fit round spacer onto impeller housing before installing chute.2. Install the bolts for the retainer brackets bottom-up as shown.Insert the plastic spacer between the two metal parts.DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. If the bracket is too tight the chutewill not move properly. Ensure there is enough spacebetween the impeller housing and the bracket on all sidesso that the chute rotates smoothly.Bolt installed bottom-upStep 3: Chute CrankAttach the cable coming from the middle of thecontrol panel by screwing the cable end onto thecrank section.Rev Sept 2019Snow BEAST Snow Blower9

Place the chute direction control cable into thesupport hook, and secure with the zip-ties providedin the hardware bag.Step 5: Shift RodThe shift rod is preset at the factory, it connect theshift handle on the control panel to the transmission shiftassembly on the chassis.1. Use the supplied hardware connect the flat end ofthe shift rod to the transmission shift assembly.2. Connect the bent end of the shift rod to the shiftHandle.Shift rodStep 6: Cleanout Tool and Mounting Bracket1. Insert the mounting bracket bolts into the holes on the top of the auger housing and secure with theM8 nuts.2. Snap the cleanout tool into the mounting bracket. Snow BEASTAssembly Instructions30SB, 36SB, 45SBStep 7: Drive Control1. Locate the thin cable on the right side (standing from the operator position) of the snow blower.2. Attach the cable to the threaded end under the drive control handle. The cable extension may need to be attachedto the bottom of the handle.3. Screw clockwise to secure. Tighten lock nuts when correct tension is achieved.4. The drive and impeller cables will be at correct tension when the cables are properly attached to the handles andthe cable has a 1 inch deflection to either side when pushed firmly with a finger as shown.Correct amount ofdeflection shownStep 8: Augers/Impeller Control1. Locate the thin cable on the left side of the snow blower.2. Attach the cable to the threaded end under the impeller control handle.3. Screw clockwise to secure. Tighten lock nuts when correct tension is achieved.4. Snow BEASTAssembly Instructions30SB, 36SB, 45SBStep 9: Drift Cutters (if desired)1. The drift cutters are attached to the main housing inthe stored position.2. Remove the two bolts on each drift cutter.3. Reattach the drift cutters in the operating position.4. Replace bolts and secure tightly.Step 10: Skid Shoes1. Skid shoes are stored in the hardware bag for shipping.2. Remove from hardware bag, and install skid shoes using theprovided fasteners3. Insert the fasteners so the flat head of the carriage bolt istoward the outside of the main housing.CAUTION: Check the skids to ensure that the auger doesnot contact the paved or gravel surface. Adjust skids asnecessary to make up for wear on the snow blower.1. Check the tire pressure to ensure the tires are properlyinflated.2. Move skid shoes up and down to the desired position basedon the surface texture. If the surface is rougher adjust the skid shoes lower. If the surfaces is smoother adjust the skid shoes higher.Firmly tighten the nuts that secure both skids to the augersides.Step 11: Headlight1. Attach the upper set of handlebars with the control panelmounted.2. Connect the headlight cable to the plastic connecter thatis coming from the snow blower.DANGERStep 12: Filling Oil and GasolineDANGER: GASOLINE IS HIGHLY FLAMMABLE ANDEXPLOSIVE. Do not add fuel while the engine isrunning or is hot. Keep open flames, sparks, and heataway from the fuel and store fuel in containersspecifically designed for that purpose. ADD FUELOUTDOORS ONLY. IF THE FUEL IS SPILLED, DO NOTSTART THE ENGINE. Manually push the snow bloweraway from the spill and wipe up immediately.Rev Sept 20191. Fill the engine with SAE 5W-30 engine oil. Fill the enginewith 1.2 to 1.5 quarts of oil. Fill up to the full level mark onthe dip stick.2. Check that the fuel filter is clean and fill the tank withunleaded gasoline.Snow BEAST Snow Blower12

Snow BEASTStarting the Engine30SB, 36SB, 45SBWARNINGDANGERBefore attempting to use your snow blower, make sure youare familiar with all of the components and have read themanual.DANGER: Exhaust contains poisonous carbonmonoxide, a colorless and odorless gas. Breathingexhaust can cause loss of consciousness and maylead to death. Do not operate the engine in aconfined space where dangerous carbon monoxidefumes can collect.WARNING! The electric starter is designed tooperate on 120 volt AC household current. Use only aUL-listed, 16 gauge extension cord for outdoor use that isno longer than 50 feet (15 meters).To prevent damaging electric starter wait 1 minute between everyelectric start attempt and never useelectric start in the rain.Starting the Engine using theElectric Start1. Use a safe, non damaged powercord to plug into the electric start outlet.WARNINGThoroughly inspect the area where you plan to use thesnow blower. Look for items such as stones, sticks ,wire, and other foreign objects. If struck by the snowblower, these and other objects may becomeprojectiles that could lead to serious injury or death.Clear area of all debris. Keep people and pets at a safedistance.Starting the Engine Using the Recoil StartNOTE: Be sure to add fresh unleaded gasoline and fillthe engine with SAE5-W30 motor oil (1.2—1.5 quarts)before starting your snow blower.1. Make sure the safety key is fully inserted in order forthe engine to start. Remove the key when the snowblower is not in use.2. Firmly push the primer to force the fuel directly intothe engine’s carburetor. Push two to four timesdepending on the temperature.4. Make sure the choke is set in the CHOKE position(choke more in colder temperatures).5.Press the electric start button. Note: Do not engagestarter more than 10 seconds each time.6. After the engine is started, slowly turn the choke upone level at a time as the engine warms up until it isat the maximum level or “RUN LEVEL.”7. Unplug the extension cord before operating thesnow blower.2. Firmly push the primer to force the fuel directly intothe engine’s carburetor. Push two to four timesdepending on the temperature. Note: Do not pressthe primer button more than 7 times. Fuel may leakfrom the carburetor with over priming.3. Make sure the choke is set in the CHOKE position(choke more in colder temperatures).4. Snow BEASTOperating Instructions30SB, 36SB, 45SBTransmission ControlEngage Transmission DriveYour snow blower is equipped with an easilyadjustable transmission control, which can beadjusted for forward and reverse speed.To engage the transmission drive squeeze the right lever tothe hand grip.There are six forward and two reverse speeds.To disengage, let go of the right lever.To change the speed, pull the handle out to the rightand move the handle to the desired speed.WARNINGDO NOT shift gears whilethe transmission is engaged. Come to a completestop and disengage thetransmission handle beforeswitching speed orswitching from forward toreverse.To Stop EngineEngage Augers/Impeller ControlTo stop the engine, pull the safety key up until the engineand augers/impeller stops running. For safety, it isrecommended that you remove the key when not using thesnow blower.To engage the augers/impeller drive squeeze the leftlever to the handgrip.To disengage release the left lever.WARNINGWARNING!
