SAP Fieldglass Datasheet: Integration Overview and DifferentiatorsFLEXIBLE FRAMEWORKSince inception, SAP Fieldglass has invested in building a flexible, configurableplatform designed to adapt to the ever-changing technical landscape. This is nodifferent from our integration approach. While it is necessary in some cases tobuild application-specific or custom integrations to solve for certain use cases, themajority of SAP Fieldglass’ investment has been and will continue to be inenhancing the flexibility in our integration offerings. This holds true for bothfoundational or master data integrations as well as for transactional integrations. Our packaged integrations and standard interfaces are flexible in several areas:Data structure and mapping:The ability to accept any delimited file structure that contains theminimum required data elements to map client data fields into thecorresponding SAP Fieldglass fields.Data handling:The ability to perform complex data handling on incoming oroutgoing data.Multiple data transfer options, including: Secure File Transfer Protocol: SAP Fieldglass can retrieve files(incoming) or drop off files (outgoing) from the client’s SFTP serverto support all of the most common data transfer requirements. Thiscan be done with or without file-level encryption. SOAP and REST web services the most common webservicestechnologies are supported for master and transactional datatransfers. XMl and JSON formatting are both supported. Manual file upload/download: When spot-maintenance or largerone-off events occur (i.e. a mass update to all contingent workers’rates due to a re-negotiation with a vendor) all of the integrationpoints are exposed directly in the user interface and can be used toprocess changes/updates.4/6 2018 SAP SE or an SAP affiliate company. SAP Fieldglass Datasheet: Integration Overview and DifferentiatorsA key way we are leveraging our platform’s open API framework is to deliverseamless integrations with digital solution providers to help customerstransform how they engage and manage the external workforce. While traditional talent channels are still essential to organizations’ programs, anever-growing variety of digital providers are emerging and multiplying. Theyinclude online talent marketplaces, payroll and compliance solutions, on-boardingand off-boarding tools, candidate vetting applications, workforce planning andanalytics solutions, and more.We enable pre-built integrations with these providers that make it easy to connectour platform with complementary solutions across many categories to help ourcustomers access talent faster and simplify how it is managed. By bringing SAPFieldglass together with other industry-leading solutions, we enable ourcustomers to be agile and drive strategic value with their external labor.LOOK TO THE FUTURESAP Fieldglass will continue to focus on creating integration functionality that ourcustomers and partners need to take their external workforce management andservices procurement strategies to the next level.Investing in flexibility and openness in our import and export capabilities will remainimportant, but as we look ahead, much of our focus will be centered on exposingmore of our workflow via APIs and enabling more self-service integration. This willempower our end users to implement more standard integrations on their own, giving them increased control of their programs. Our goal is to deliver our customers a connected experience that helps themget work done faster and easier, and ultimately helps them achieve betterbusiness outcomes.5/6 2018 SAP SE or an SAP affiliate company.
